The beautiful home was located in the heart of the town, which means it was in the middle of a maze. We persevered, and because the town is actually quite small, in a very few minutes we found free parking in a garage below the Municipal Archaeological Exhibition. This proved to be a very short, easy walk from our destination. Soon we were ushered into a lovely room and given a tour of the inn. This included a visit to a sitting area on the roof, which looked out over the adjacent Plaza of the Constitution (note this) and the city, but also gave a fine view of the remarkable Almodovar castle. We walked up the hill to the castle, which only required a few minutes. We had to depart early the next morning for a long drive, and our hosts were kind enough to pack us a bagged breakfast.

The staff were all very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The food was excellent and our compliments go to the catering staff. Our room was clean and perfectly acceptable. The hostal is in an ideal position for exploring Cordoba, Seville and the smaller lovely towns between. Lots of covered parking directly outside, which was important in the heat.
