The hotel was in a great location for visiting Matera also close to the city of Altamura. The room was comfortable, the bed comfortable and the breakfast very good. The staff were very helpful.

Location is great, easy to access and close to the historic centre. Very friendly and helpful staff. Beds are extremely comfortable!!, new and clean, nice linens that even smell good, and absolutely loved the tub in the room. Wasn’t able to use the spa, but hopefully next time.

The location is above expectation. The structures is new and built with natural materials. Appreciated very much is the size of the room and the comfort, such as the aircon and the bathroom, large size and very clean. The morning breakfast is based on pure natural products all home bade. Location is perfect if you want just enjoy the natural landscape or even used as home base and travel around.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any requests . The location is perfect, close to local attractions and public transport. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area, and I would definitely stay here again!

It has been a nice place in the middle of the countryside, a large area actually divided into two buildings. One building was a restaurant and grocery store where you could buy some probably homemade jams, salami, cheeses, etc. A little further away was the other building where there was a B&B and factory that you could perhaps go in and look around, but I didn't. The room was nice, reasonable, comfortable beds, large bathroom and an outside walkway so it was nice to be able to go out and not feel trapped with only windows. Wifi worked well. The staff was very nice and helpful. The downside was that it was relatively cold inside, probably central A/C and it couldn't be regulated in the room. But there were warm blankets so I didn't freeze at night anyway. The other downside was that although there was a dining room in this building, breakfast was still served in the first building and it was a bit of a walk. I had to take the car as I am after leg surgery and have a bit of difficulty walking. So the place is not very suitable for a person with reduced mobility. The breakfast was good and there was also salami and cheeses, not just pastries. There was also a restaurant so you could have dinner or lunch and refreshments so that was nice. As I said it was a nice place, a real agricultural place and a lot to do around as there was a forest too with different activities so it might be nice to stay there for a couple of days and explore a bit.

This was our second stay at Hotel Nicola. Our first stay, several years ago, was wonderful - hence our return. This trip, we noted ongoing improvements in the property. The staff was exceedingly welcoming and helpful, and we enjoyed our interaction with them. One staff member consistently went out of his way to help with our car and explain how our access to the ZTL worked. Erik, at the front desk, was a font of helpful knowledge about the area and gave us suggestions regarding navigation and areas to explore. The breakfast was varied and exceeded what would be regarded as "typical," both in quality and quantity. And, of course, Altamura is beautiful and the Centro is exceedingly walkable.

Beautiful hotel in Matera. The best views in town. Our room was great, bathroom, shower and a great bathtub! it had an incredible view an a terrace to admire the town. Very conveniently located. We arrived by car and parked in a nearby private parking lot. But because it was raining we took advantage of the shuttle from the parking lot. Could have easily walked and taken our luggage but preferred not to get soaking wet! The staff was super friendly and nice. The breakfast was varied and tasty! Highly recommend!
