It was very peaceful during our stay. The room was spacious and clean with a great view of the lake. Staff was great! Breakfast was probably the best we’ve had at any of our stays other places. It was a wonderful break midway through our vacation to just relax for a few days.

Before we showed up, I was anticipating a spartan, economical stay, given the high reviews of other. Boy was I wrong!! See below:

Recanto do Alqueva offers accommodations in Monsaraz, 2.7 miles from Monsaraz Castle and 27 miles from Ducal Palace of Vila Viçosa.
