Accessible Hotels in Santana

Everything was great. The view from the room was great but rooms on the higher floors had better views. Breakfast and dinner were both great. Staff were great.

Very good place to stay in Santana. The room was really spacious. Guests also have access to a swimming pool with a jacuzzi. Delicious breakfast both continental and with a good selection of sweets.

Very good restaurant nearby, the room was very good and there was a very well equipped kitchen with all you need. A nice walk nearby, and close to Pico do Arieiro.

The apartment is spacious, the kitchen is well appointed, and there is comfortable seating for up to 4 people inside and out (more seating is available for larger parties). It was quiet at night, and the beds were quite comfortable. Excellent water pressure both bathroom showers. All three balconies provided beautiful views from sunrise to sunset. Signage and information in the apartment was detailed and helpful. The apartment was fastidiously clean, and we were pleased to find a washing machine available with plenty of clothespins to hang out items for drying. The location is very good—close (walking distance) to shops, restaurants, local attractions, and a grocery store. The airport is 25 minutes away (less if you drive like a local); Funchal, São Vicente, Pico Areeiro, Pico Ruivo, and São Laurenço can all be reached in about 45 minutes or even fewer; other worthy spots (Fanal Forest, Paul do Serra, several levada walks including 25 Fontes) are all pretty much 1.5 hours away by car. Santana in general has a very pleasant, easy-going, community vibe—local favorite Faial beach was a highlight and only 10-15 minutes from the accommodation! Finally, our host Maria was warm, welcoming, and friendly. She gave great tips tailored to our needs, she was very accommodating of our schedule and preferences, and we found her to be available without being intrusive. We were really happy we based ourselves here for our first visit to Madeira. We would stay at Maria’s Pérola Dourada again, and highly recommend this spot to others. The house was simply perfect, and in a very convenient position for the hiking pathways. Lili and Marco are the most kind and helpful people I ever met, they really made the stay outstanding. I could not recommend this accommodation more!

We really loved our stay at this hotel. The service was exceptionally personal and attentive, the room was spotless and perfectly equipped, and the location is right in the city center. The rooftop terrace offers a stunning panoramic view, and free parking in the building is a big plus. A special thank you to Margarida, Sid, and Miguel for their outstanding hospitality. They even left fresh croissants every morning, and surprised my wife with a bottle of sparkling wine and a personal birthday note, which was incredibly thoughtful. Highly recommended!
