What I liked the most was the space available for the clients. Large kitchen and large patio . The staff was polite, discreet and helpful. The cleanliness and the comfort of guests were a top priority for Victor who came to meet the guests several times. Very appreciated.

Marficas Hostel is a very well organized hostel. Most of the rooms have their own terrace towards famous pico mountain. With table and chairs to take your meals there. The kitchen is incredibly well equipoed and good organised. It is a perfectly made hostel. A lot of parking is available. It is a bit up in the hill, with a fanrastic view.😊

My husband and I had such a wonderful time at Cabanas da Viscondessa. The Cabana itself was perfect– fully functioning kitchen with everything you need, spacious living area, beautiful back deck, nice bathroom with waterfall shower, and comfortable bed with AC throughout. The restaurant was also wonderful to have on site, we ate breakfast and dinner there and had great meals. Ample parking space in parking lot, easy communication with owner and very friendly and helpful staff!

The place is awesome. The caretaker was awesome. We could not have asked for a better place. Extra clean neat and orderly and lots of room.

The location is so incredibly beautiful! Close to both the airport and the Velas port for ferries, with access to hikes, and including a fabulous pool and all the other amenities you could want, this is the perfect place to stay on Sao Jorge. We used the comfortable apartment with squeaky clean linens, cooking and dishware, and patio furniture. Lots of space and surfaces for packing suitcases and feeling at home. The sunsets were STUNNING and all the requests we had were generously completed with smiles. Thank you so much to Max, Gabi, Thiago, and all the lovely staff!

The house itself, the location, the host, everything was absolutely magnificent! The house is located in a Faja, which means that it is peaceful, quiet and surrounded by amazing nature, but it also means that there are no supermarkets nor restaurants in the area (there are available options short distance by car). The road to the location is asphalt, in very good shape, the parking is on the grass, in front of the house itself.....and the scenery from the airport to the Casa dos Vimes is spectacular. The location is the beginning point for several hiking paths, and the famous coffee plantation is just around the corner. I visited several parts of Sao Jorge, but the south part has better weather overall, and it is way more protected from the winds as opposed to the north (which is mostly farmland), and not to mention the breathtaking views over Pico mountain. Mr. Antonio, the host, is extremely responsive to all needs and an exceptional person to talk to. The house was renovated using a blend of traditional Sao Jorge elements, and modern elements, making it a very beautiful and comfortable stay. The house has a private terrace, a private bbq as well as washing machines. Mr. Antonio kindly provided all the necessary things for making a successful BBQ :) And in case the weather is not very friendly and going outside is not possible, there is a smart tv! :)
