Pool was nice, place was spacious, beds were decent, and host was very communicative. Calm neighborhood close to restaurants. There is a beach close by, but did not look nice enough to swim in although I did see people in the water.

Location was great, really clean and had a great overall atmosphere. Every staff member was very helpful and friendly. Close to the good parts of Lamai, but not too close to where it’s too crowded to get out. Great room as well. Overall awesome stay!

My friend and I loved this unqiue boutique hotel on the hillside above popular beaches. Loved the pools, the comfy beds, big room, bathroom and huge porch, the chic open air bar and restaurant, the gardens, the ambiance, the breakfast and dinner, the delightful concierge welcome of Philippe, the owner and designer, and his staff. Outstanding service. This gem of a hotel is worth a visit to Koh Samui. Skip the beaches and just hang out at Baan Sawan!
