Accommodations in El Zaino

It's in the jungle, the walk there it's an adventure by itself, still not hard at all. 20 to 30 minutes walk to the Zaino entrance of the Tayrona park, 30 minutes by bus to Santa Marta, 10 minutes to Poza encanto entrance and Mandiguaca beach from the mean entrance of the hostel by bus, 15 minutes by bus to El Rio Guachaca entrance if you want to visit the hidden waterfalls of El Saltillo. Staff are very friendly, funny and lovely people. Food is good, I don't drink cocktails, but I saw many drinking cocktail after another. I was traveling alone and expected to be alone the whole trip, but I met a lot of travelers from different countries in it and spent my whole trip with them even after leaving the hostel to explore the Tayrona park we stayed together. The great ambient there made it possible for me and others to share the trip in group. I CAN'T RECOMMEND IT ENOUGH, GO THERE AND SEE YOURSELF.

The area and facilities are great. The hotel is one massive garden, with tastefully constructed buildings and facilities. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We were also pleasantly surprised that the on-site restaurant/bar/activities were very affordable.

Wonderful place almost inside the jungle, close to the tyrona national park entrance. The staff and the owners were amazing!

The sound of nature. The monkeys, the people, the beaches. We liked how closed it was to the Tayrona beaches.

The hotel is beautiful and located right inside the park. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Our room had stunning views—we absolutely loved it! Highly recommended!

The tents were nicer than we expected. They were clean, comfortable, and decorated in a cute and charming way. It was such a fun stay. We heard there were bugs everywhere, but we didn’t have any in the tent. We slept well in the comfortable beds. The hike in was tiring, but nothing beats the location. It is such a cool experience.

Reception and staff are genuine, attentive, and friendly. We spent new year here and it was an unforgettable exclusive for people who enjoy much less crowded places. It was a unique experience. I hope to come back here.

Good food, but they should use filtered water to prepare coffee and juices.

The staff were phenomenal. They were so kind and helpful. We dealt mostly with David and Alejo, both of whom spoke really good English, and they were very genuine, interested, and nice. The other staff were also great and were happy to try to chat with us in our broken Spanish. The food was really tasty. The ingredients felt high quality and the cooks were really good. The camarones con salsa de coco y ajo was especially good. The cabins were really cool. It felt like we were staying in a treehouse, with plenty of monkeys and birds at eye-level while we lounged in the hammocks. The bed was comfortable and everything was kept really clean by the staff.

Incredible value for money. A clean, comfortable room provided by friendly staff. Location is great, only a two minute walk to the entrance of tayrona national park. We enjoyed the pool for cooling off in the heat of the afternoon! Beautiful little balconies and a tasty and simple breakfast made this place a favourite for us!

The Staff are great, we needed an extra room with AC just to store flowers for a wedding next day, and they gave us the extra room for a 1/4 of the price. Plus since we needed to leave extra early before six am, they prepared our breakfast early. Great service, great people

Friendly staff, room was very nice, clean, good to be in nature.

Very comfortable and private tiny house off of the main entrance road to Tayrona. The houses are surrounded by nature and the balconies provide a great place to watch wildlife and take in the beauty of the surroundings. It is around a 45 minute walk or quick shuttle ride to get to the main trail head of Tayrona. Host was extremely welcoming and helpful (we had some car trouble and the host was a major resource in getting our issues resolved).

How clean it was and the service

Staff was wonderful and the breakfast was great. The grounds are beautiful and the location was top notch. The room was smaller than expected which worked out fine because it was just one person. (The room was originally reserved for two.) Not recommended for people with a lot of stuff.

Amazing location, right in the national park so could hear the monkeys and lots of.birds came up round our room. Great staff and food from their restaurant was very tasty as was breakfast. Is basic but more than adequate.

We enjoyed our stay in the eco hotel, the staff, the food, and the views were amazing! I would stay there again despite the fact that walking upstairs to the room can be tiring:)

Comfortable room, great art throughout the property, adorable animals keep you company, the hosts are extremely lovely and friendly people, convenient location being so close to el Zaino entrance, great pool, delicious breakfast and coffee, host kept us entertained with great music. Highly recommend!

Posadas Ecoturisticas Seinken is a lovely nature lodge within walking distance from Parque Nacional Tayrona. Lucilla's property is full of beautiful plants and charismatic animals. She also makes breakfast if you request it when you arrive. The property is a 3 minute walk from the road that goes to Santa Marta, where you can pick up the bus. My friend and I from Canada loved staying here during our trip to Tayrona!
