Our Stay was amazing, from the staff, restaurant and amenities were amazing! Would definitely recommend and come back again. I would like to give a special thanks to the restaurant and bar staff, always super helpful and friendly, excellent service!

We had an amazing time while we were there. Great views, dinner options were great, and the dinner itself was incredible. Staff is very warm and inviting. We will stay here again in the future and totally recommend it for anyone who wants a quiet stay with mountain vibes and ocean views.

This property is well run by Alice & her mum. We had a booking at Chez Nous around the corner and ran from there because it was a dump. Alice fit us right in and was very accommodating our entire stay. We enjoyed the community kitchen. Comfortable furniture outside. Location had a soda place right down the road. Alice also recommended a boat tour which we did and had so much fun on. Very prompt pickup and very professional staff.

The location was fantastic! Roberto even upgraded me to an ocean view room. Breakfast was included, everything was great!

Anyone looking for an off the beaten path true Costa Rica experience would really enjoy this place! The owner and his family live next door and provided us with a tour of the property, highlighting the verity of plants they grow, including 3 types of coconuts, several types of bananas, vanilla, cacao, sugar cane, wild ginger, turmeric, and several types of fruits. The best part is, we got to sample all the freshly grown products that were in season while we were there. They also offer delicious traditional homemade meals using locally sourced ingredients for a very reasonable price, which I highly recommend! While the house itself is off a remote dirt road, it is only about a 15 minute drive to Playa Carrillo beach, which in our opinion, was one of the best beaches we've been to. There is also an amazing little restaurant, Restaurante El Dorado, off the same dirt road as the house. Note, if going to El Dorado for dinner, be sure to stop in during to day to make sure they will be open that night since the woman who owns the restaurant literally runs the restaurant by herself. Everything about the house and experience far exceeded our expectations! The house itself is very clean and modern while fitting perfectly into the beautiful natural surroundings. If you're looking for a party house or touristy area experience, this is not the place for you. However, if you're looking to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Costa Rica, and experience the authentic local culture an delicious traditional food, this house is perfect!

Since we were on work we did not spent much time at the Hotel but customer service was very well managed and appointed Thanks to Lourdes and Staff to have made our Stay very pleasant A good loving care makes you feel like a true guest Breakfast good and all the facilities very functional Gracias por todo

The hotel is very close to one of Costa Rica’s nicest beaches and the food in the dining room is excellent. There is a lovely clean pool.

The villa felt like home. All amenities were included, which was nice after traveling for over a week. The kids enjoyehaving access to a pool and beach.

Wow! I would highly recommend this stay. Gail’s home was a welcoming, comfortable space and her happy personality and care made it extra special. The space is absolutely gorgeous and has all that you need. It has gorgeous wood, a queen and a twin bed in the main house, large fridge, stove, toaster oven, blender, and more. She has a large, private yard with several fruit trees and several hanging seats on the porch, as well as a full lounge area where we spent many happy hours chatting and enjoying the yard. There is also a second-floor deck with a beautiful view and a great place for doing yoga or chatting in the swinging chairs. In the early mornings, you even hear howler monkeys in the trees! (They are not loud.) Gail goes above and beyond to make it a peaceful and pleasant experience for her guests. She is a great communicator and answered all of our questions and even anticipated some of our needs we did not yet know we had. 😊 She has beach towels, a first aid kit, etc. in addition to great linens and pillows and comfy beds. The neighborhood where the house is located is close to Playa Carillo. It has a gate and private access. I took the local bus several times and it was easy if you do not have car transport. In addition to being close to Playa Carrillo, it is close to Playa Samara as well. The beaches are fabulous and so peaceful! Truly unspoiled areas. I can’t wait to go back and get some more of that peace and joy and abundant nature! Thank you, Gail!

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Esperanza: we hesitated between between Samara and Playa Carillo and we're very glad we chose the latter and found this place. Denis and Carrie are wonderful hosts, they were so kind with our children and made us really feel at home. The hotel is nice and quiet, rooms are clean and comfortable and the outdoor area is lovely. The made to order homemade breakfast every morning was delicious. The beach is only a 5 min walk away and absolutely gorgeous. If you don't fancy driving into Samara, there are a few restaurants and convenience stores in walking distance as well.
