Friendly staff and location. Definitely if I'm in the area in the future I'll choose this place to stay.

The staff were exceptional and they allowed us to check out 1pm rather than 11am- they went above and beyond. 5 stars Manager was lovely too

For a solo woman traveling, the location is excellent and safe. The hotel and staff are 100% lovely. I enjoyed everything! Stayed in "Fancy".

The bed was the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. The place was spotless. When I travel, I miss my shower at home the most. But in this case, I would have liked to be able to take the shower home with me. Claudia has prepared a great folder containing great information. This includes restaurants, pubs, activities, and local history.

It was perfect! Beautiful space, with everything you could possibly need. You can tell that a lot of thought had been put into the place and there were some lovely extra touches such as milk in the fridge, bottled water ect. The bed was also ridiculously comfy, couldn't fault it and will stay here again the next time I'm in Newhaven😊

Excellent stay at Highbanks it was very clean and had everything you wanted. There was tea coffee and milk left in the fridge, just what was needed after the travelling. Would recommend great place for an overnight stay ready to catch the ferry.

The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The accommodation is very tidy, clean and warm. The bed was comfortable and I slept very well. A welcome breakfast in the morning and the host was kind enough to get alternative milk for me. No trouble parking, plenty of room on the drive. Would stay again if I need to visit the area again.

The cottage was really comfortable with lovely decor, a wood burner, and even a garden cabin. It was a great space to relax in, with a bath as well as a shower, and an excellent selection of books! Piddinghoe is a delightful village by the River Ouse, within the South Downs national park. There is no pub or shop, but the old church with its Norman tower is beautiful and fascinating, and villagers are very friendly. Buses run several times a day towards Lewes or Newhaven. There are many lovely river walks, but even better was the route up Harping Hill and through the stunning Halcombe Valley to Halcombe Farm (edge of Peacehaven). The owner was warm and helpful, and provided a delicious bottle of wine, plus a digital radio. A wonderful stay!
