Amazing atmosphere, historic property, friendly staff, delicious food, cozy environment, perfect location near everything.

Gorgeous location in a quiet Suffolk Village. The building was beautiful and ideally decorated. We didn't use the restaurant but the menu looked good (we were meeting friends elsewhere). Bar was well stocked and staff very helpful. We upgraded and had a beautiful and large room. Bathroom was a little less decadent than the rest of the hotel but clean enough. We used our own toiletries but good to see environmental impact was thought about. TV was odd and difficult to use - usual channels didn't seem available and if we tried Netflix or any of the other apps, none of them worked, so we turned it off and just had music playing on our phones. Comfy bed, and tea/coffee available, so all good. We loved it. *worth mentioning that had we paid full price I would have felt it a little expensive, but I had a Booking.com credit and so actually it felt like a bargain.

The staff were very accommodating and couldn't do enough for us. Nothing was too much trouble. I don't think they knew the word 'no'

Everything, the cosy cottage, the location and the wonderful hosts that went above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely experience. We were allowed to share their beautiful garden and nothing was too much trouble. We were visiting a close relative in the area and this will be our new place to stay.

We stayed as a couple at Henny Camping in the pod and had a fantastic escape. The pod was cosy, comfortable and perfectly set up for a peaceful few days away. The sofa was ideal for sitting back and watching the sunset, and the comfy bed made it hard to leave in the mornings. The kettle and fridge were all we needed to enjoy cold beers in the evening and warm coffee overlooking the fields. We loved having lunch in nearby Lavenham, and the local pub was incredibly friendly with great food and drink. The setting is beautiful and full of wildlife, we saw birds of prey, pheasants, hares and bunnies during our stay. There’s also an oak tree on the far right of the landscape that strangely reminded us of the tree from Shawshank Redemption. A genuinely peaceful and memorable stay. We’ll definitely be back.
