Nice and spacious room. The receptionist on duty was really kind when my partner fell ill and could not get out of bed so she allowed us to check out a bit later so he could rest before we had our flight. It was an exceptional ask and I was grateful they could accommodate that.

Our stay at The Gem Hotel and Restaurant in Stansted Mountfitchet was excellent from start to finish. Patrick, Sadie, Charlotte, Trinity, and Frank were exceptionally kind, attentive, and professional, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout our visit. The food was outstanding, beautifully prepared and full of flavour, making every meal a pleasure. The hotel itself is tastefully decorated, combining elegance with comfort. Our room was beautifully appointed, immaculately maintained, and clearly furnished with great care and attention to detail. Its location is ideal for travellers, being conveniently close to Stansted Airport while still enjoying the charm and tranquillity of the surrounding area. The setting is equally delightful, with a lovely dining room and a beautiful outdoor garden terrace that provides the perfect place to relax and unwind. We would highly recommend The Gem to anyone looking for exceptional hospitality, wonderful food, and a comfortable stay near Stansted.

Green man is a very clean and neat place

The staff Julie was super nice and went extra to help me. The breakfast was better than expected. The room was clean and cozy. Even she offered to help to order a taxi for us.

Good price great location. As long as you understand it’s a shared bathroom situation all is great. Very helpful and understanding hosts, even when we check in so late all was taken care of.

I was unable to collect my hire car and thus accommodation pulled my out of a major hole. Extremely comfortable, warming, homely, clean. Everything you need for a night stay on a budget.

We had a lovely one night stay at Old Thatch Bambers Green. The unit was clean and very well equipped. It had everything you needed and more. Big thanks to our lovely hosts, Angela and Steve, who were very helpful and even went out their way to make sure that we are happy and satisfied.

It was very convenient to have self-checkin at a location so close to the airport. The hosts were easy to contact, and they did their best to make our stay pleasant.

3 night stay with a 19 month year old and 4 adults. It couldn’t have more perfect for us and a very active toddler. Perfect sized 2 bed barn. Lovely large family kitchen , dining, lounge room area. Surrounded by beautiful fields and wildlife. Immaculately clean, everything there you could possibly want or need. Great communication. We took advantage of the order in meals the first night and the food was the best we ate the entire weekend. The pistachio cake was divine. Highly recommend.
