Accommodations in Szigliget

Staff was super friendly and attentive at reception and breakfast as well. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The AC worked really well on the very hot day we arrived. Breakfast had a good selection of warm and continental breakfast options, everything was tasty. The pool and hot tub seemed nice, although we ended up not using it. There is a nice lounging area outside the pool to sunbathe. At reception you can buy ice cold drinks and wines to take back to your room and enjoy on the spacious balcony. Wish we stayed longer and hope to come back!

The staff was kind. There was a pool with plenty of beds around, the rooms were nice and clean. There was plenty of place to unpack. The breakfast was fantastic with lots of great options. There are a lot of bikes that you can just take when going into the centre with no hassle at all.

The food was amazing, breakfast and dinner both.

Amazing views over lake Balaton. The most delicious breakfast. Lots of charging options outside for our ebikes. The air conditioning in the rooms is super silent so I could sleep with it on.

Great location, close to the beach and the harbour. You can take lunch and dinner at the restaurant near the harbour and breakfast at a sandwich place also close to the location.

We’re really happy with our choice of destination — going to Szigliget instead of Budapest turned out to be a great decision. The view from the apartment balcony was absolutely stunning! The balcony was spacious and offered a breathtaking panorama of the entire surrounding area. The beds were comfortable, and the apartment had a pleasant, welcoming atmosphere. The host was incredibly kind and friendly. Everything matched the description provided beforehand and suited our needs perfectly. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for accommodation in the area. And don’t miss the ruins of the old castle — you can even see them from the balcony! Greetings to Bea! ;)

The place was beautiful, very clean, and nicely laid out with a bedroom, kitchen/dining room, and bathroom, as well as as a little private terrace. The jacuzzi tub was perfect and I had the place all to myself. The neighbourhood was cute, very Hungarian-countryside, with thatched-roof cottages, pretty gardens, and pointy old-fashioned haystacks around. It was a nice 20-minute walk down to the lake.

We wanted a quiet location with a good view of Lake Balaton for both relaxation and a home base for our adventures in the Balaton highlands. We were able to travel easily to Tapolca to see the cave lake, see the charming local rural towns, and the Szigliget castle, as well as access the local beach. The unit was comfortable for four adults, the kitchen and 2 bathrooms were well equipped. The host, Laci was very responsive, a good communicator, flexible and very kind. We would return without reservation.
