The Vogelkopf Resort in Raja Ampat is a real find for anyone looking to relax and enjoy some nature. The staff are super friendly and make you feel right at home. What really stands out is how the owner personally makes sure you're comfortable and enjoying your stay. The rooms are comfy and just what you need to unwind. The highlight for me was the snorkeling; it's some of the best I've ever done, with crystal-clear water and incredible marine life just off the jetty. Plus, the WiFi is surprisingly good for such a remote place, hitting around 30mbps, which is great for staying connected. Just a heads-up, due to the location, the internet might drop during storms, but that's a small price to pay for the beauty and peace you get here. Overall, Vogelkopf Resort is an excellent choice for an stress-free vacation with a bit of adventure and a lot of natural beauty."

Staff friendly, place clean, they did what they said they'd do, arranged pick ups, return tickets on ferry. They put in a ladder at the end of the dock so swimmers could enjoy the reef on low tide. Reef was nice.

This was one of our favourite places to stay anywhere! There were so many reasons why: 1. Rashid and Eka, the owners, were amazing hosts. We quickly felt like we were part of the family. Rashid is passionate about Raja Ampat's underwater life and took us on amazing tours. We saw such incredible sights. 2. The bungalows are located on a spectacular reef. You can see so much by snorkelling directly from your bungalow steps. 3. The staff were wonderful! (And great karaoke singers!) 4. There are only three bungalows so far and all the guests eat together for lunch and dinner. We got to know wonderful people from around the world. 5. We spent a week here and a week at a much more expensive resort and this one came out tops for value by far. 6. A village is nearby which was really interesting to visit. 7. Note that the location near mangroves is a positive. We experienced no significant insect issues here and the mangroves harboured amazing fish life.

The staff was extremely helpful and happy to go the extra step to make our stay very comfortable. They were nice to pack lunch for our diving trip!

It wasn’t the typical beach huts that all look the same. I actually felt like I was staying on someone’s property.

Very close to harbor and pick up was free. Beautiful large room with comfortable beds. Great warm shower. Large windows looking to the mangroves. Beautiful and peaceful. Great restaurant attached to facility with outstanding service and food. Owner brought us coffee out on the long attached community deck every morning. We enjoyed sitting out there on many occasions. Sunsets are beautiful. Very nice family run homestay. They can arrange outings. Bird hike, blue river, etc. We did not have any issues with mosquitoes or sand flies. Nice walks to see locals folks. We stayed 3 nights.

Very comfortable. Friendly staff. Good food. Nice house reef. Was our first stop in Raja Ampat and we enjoyed our stay there. AC was great to have in the room and it gets quite toasty.

We booked 6 nights in December at the Raja Ampat Eco Lodge. The lodge was fantastic! The bungalows are spacious, clean and beautifully appointed with a very comfortable bed, seating and dining areas and nice lighting. While there isn't air conditioning, the breeze coming from the sea and the large quiet fan made it easy to sleep at night despite warm temperatures. We didn't have any issues with mosquitoes or other bugs either. The food was delicious and varied each day. We loved the fresh juices, curries and vegetables. The house beach is beautiful and the reef has a good variety of fish. We even saw an octopus a couple of times! The owners are lovely and the service provided by the team is professional and kind.

I booked 8 days here. I went diving for three days on the Pulau Gam and snorkeled daily on Friwen. They are about a 10 mins boat ride. The Homestay is rustic. There are two beds covered with mosquito net. They are totally fine but somehow one would get in every night. It’s an island at the equator, there are mosquitoes. Also geckos! That’s part of the adventure. The room has an interior slide lock and there’s a clipping lock with a key for locking when you’re away. Honestly I never locked my place. The island seems very safe. Kids playing, most of the folks on the island are involved in tourism, though they don’t speak much English. It wasn’t an issue. I traveled solo and spent most afternoons in the hammock, reading, writing or napping. The food was amazing, delicious, the cook is very sweet and calls you to breakfast, lunch and dinner. The fresh fish is caught daily. Vegetables and rice, very delicious and all included. Large quantities. Box lunches are available if you are diving all day. Bananas are snacks. Unlimited instant coffee, tea, hot water. The island is stunning. Sunsets amazing. The reef has more life to see while snorkeling than most places (Europe, Caribbean, US, Latin America) have to see while scuba diving! I saw turtles, squid, dolphins playing, reef sharks and millions of coral. A not about cash and other fees: you will need ~140,000 to take a ferry from Sorong to Waisai. Then you’ll need 600,000 to ride each way from Waisai to Friwen (this can be divided with others, provided there are other riders.). On Waisai, you’ll have to buy a Marine Park pass and an entry pass, in total 1,000,000. So you’ll need around 2,250,000 in cash (be prepared bc the pass can be purchased online, or card but sometimes their system is down and you have to pay cash). In Sorong airport there are four ATMs, most of them don’t work well. There are ATMs on Waisai but you have to ride a motorcycle to them. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The location was gorgeous! Family was extremely welcoming and accommodating. The food was AMAZING!! After staying at a few other homestays afterwards (this was our first), we appreciated more and more the hospitality and quiet serenity of Aldejus. They went above and beyond to make us comfortable and feel spoiled. The provide what they say this will which proved quite unique in Raja.
