Accommodations in Hitoyoshi

Loved the free access to a nearby onsen. The owners were very friendly and kind. It was a bit cold in Hitoyoshi, but they provided a few amazing warm blankets, heated carpet, and a heater. They also had an air purifier in the room. All the amenities were great! My father lives in Hitoyoshi, so I'll be using them again in the future!

Hotel Sun Hitoyoshi is a very nice place to stay. It's centrally located in Hitoyoshi, making it an easy walk to most of the main restaurants and attractions. When we stayed in late March 2026, there were groups of Japanese, Korean, and Chinese golfers and sightseers staying at the hotel. I traveled with my wife and 20 year-old daughter, so booked a double room for us and a single room for my daughter. The hotel upgraded our double room to a Crown room without my requesting it. This made for a very pleasant stay, as from our room we looked out from the 7th floor over the river and the castle ruins. Staff were responsive and helpful, without a fault.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The man even drove to the bus station as I couldn't find the bus stop. :) That was very kind of him! :) I also had the dorm just for myself and the bed was very comfortable. The accommodation is very close to a sento, a laundry and a kombini, all within 50 meters from the hostel. Also good location, close to the castle ruins and one of the temples.

Free parking lot and clean facilities. Hot weather but A/C is very strong！

futons were very comfortable. Staff were very accommodating and understanding with the little Japanese my group knew.

Clean and quiet. The location (we had a car) is a bit far from main city but didn’t take long to get there with a car but the view from the room to rice fields was worth everything 😌

The interior space is very welcoming. Breakfast and dinner were excellent (good value). The staff was extremely friendly and warm. The location is nearby downtown area and Hitoyoshi station.

Balcony view above the rooftops and fine location at city center were excellent.

We enjoyed our stay, the rooms was well equipped. The joined facilities where nice, both indoor and outdoor onsen were clean and pleasent! There was a very nice playroom for kids as well. Only downside is the area isn't that vibrant.

Everything was in excellent condition and they provided us with awesome amenities. Pictures matched the place. Convenient stores nearby and laundry mat just a couple of blocks away to dry your clothes if needed
