Accommodations in Kaôh Kon

ThmorDa Resort sits on the highest point of the M'Pai Bay town area. From the private rooftop you can get a perfect view of the sunset. Rooms are pristine with everything you need. The trek to the Hotel is a bit of an uphill hike but thankfully ThmorDa has a shuttle cart that is seemingly always ready to take you down to the beach or back up to the resort. We met the owner who was very accommodating and went above and beyond in helping us with any concerns we had. He also would meet with us on the roof during sunset and make sure everyone was having a good time. Keep in mind this is not the backpacker experience like most of the island. This is a resort in all aspects.

The location was right on the beach. A quick walk from any amenity one may need. The staff was extremely kind and helpful, and most importantly, it was a 10 minute walk from the pristine bioluminescent plankton beach, which is paradise both during the day and at night. A true hidden gem in paradise.

Staff were so friendly and kind. The food was delicious and I especially enjoyed the fish bbq on Wednesdays. I would highly recommend Tiger and am looking forward to staying here again.

Lovely view from the balcony! It can get quite hot but that is Cambodia for you :) the food downstairs was delicious 🤤 and I had a wonderful stay here!!

Best place to stay in M’pai Bay! Nice, spacious, clean tent. Just a 3 min walk from the beachfront and you get the best views and sunsets (also the best margaritas in town!). Scott is such a wonderful host. Can’t recommend this place enough.

The owners were friendly and very kind. We found the facilities to be very clean and quiet. Distance to beach was about 5 minutes walk, distance to town five minutes too. Perfect.

Seafront with the most beautiful view! So much attention to detail, especially of those little things…cotton pads, cottons buds, GOOD shampooo, GOOOD body wash and hand wash! Fresh towels and bathrobes.! Beautiful decor, comfy bed, comfy pillow! Alice - the owner! The puppy! Hangover cure tea offered in the morning! I could go on and on!

- The owners are extremely helpful and friendly - food is great! - Location perfect This Hostel is not on the main island so be careful with the booking. If you don't plan to come to this smaller island, do it and go swimming with the blue plankton it's magnificent. The owners will give you all the necessary information.

Lovesick is an amazing unique hostel, with young owners that are super friendly and want you to have a good time while you stay there. They go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and that you enjoy your time in Mpai Bay. They recommend events at different venues in the village, and also don’t mind having a party occasionally at the hostel. There is also a boat party/ trip to other beaches and a lighthouse visit. You can’t beat it for only $10! It’s got lovely vibes and it’s great for socialising with the chill area and pool table. The location is perfect, you’re on the beach and 2 minutes away from the main high street. If you’re lucky the plankton at night time can be seen really well at the beach that’s a 5 minute walk from the hostel. The hostel is nearly brand new so everything was clean, and the volunteers & staff do their very best for the guests. You should definitely stay here in Mpai Bay!

The owner was super friendly and helpful throughout the stay. I loved the location 200m up the road from the beach, close enough to be convenient to everywhere but far enough away to have a silent night's sleep. The restaurant directly across the road is probably the best in Mpay Bay too.

Mela and Ian are excellent hosts, very sweet and attentive. The guesthouse is located on a quieter part of the village but still very close to the beach and everything else around. The rooms are simple, yet very comfortable. They serve some amazing dumplings, some of the best that I have ever eaten, and they are also very cheap. I've really enjoyed my stay and am looking forward to come back someday.
