Accommodations in Buttala

A beautiful retreat by the river and close to Block 5 Yala NP. Suj is a lovely guy and a fantastic cook and the servings are more than we could eat. The room is large and very clean and comfortable. You see elephants on the road not far south of the property and the whole experience there felt truly authentic. Highly recommended

Excellent stay- the property was gorgeous, the hosts the friendliest and we had incredible food! Adding to that, we saw 4!!! Leopards . Stay could not have been better.

Located in the middle of the sugar cane fields, forest tree top is a gem that only a few have the privilege of discovering. We were luckily one of them. Bhatiya was an extraordinary host, so kind, caring and passionate about nature. He was so generous to share his passion with us, took us on a game drive in the fields where we saw numerous birds and animals, and during the night he drove us back to the fields to enjoy the most beautiful sky of stars we have ever seen. The food was insanely good and the entire experience truly unforgettable. Thank you Bhathiya again for sharing it with us.

Quiet place surrounded by beautiful paddy field, adjacent river was so soothing. Elephant tour was organized by host and lots of birds.Easy access to Yala national park entrance. Thank for the complimentary Sri Lankan authentic breakfast by the host, All good, highly recommended

Wow. Did not expect rooms of this quality! Very large farm land with few cabanas spread out. Feels like a mini village. Highlight was the fresh river and river deck which I spent most my time reading. This place opened up a different side to me. Food was all local and healthy. Amazing cycling experience around the village and local lake in the morning followed by a kanda (Herbal Juice with solid honey) in the morning and a river bath will now be my epitome of happiness.
