Location, excellent service, breakfast is AMAZING…

Very stylish, very cozy and beautiful

I was spending five months in South Africa working on a book and was in the mood for something different over a long weekend. FlyNamibia/Westair had surprisingly cheap flights from Cape Town to Walvis Bay, and I had heard about a wild little German coastal city easily reachable by van from the airport there. Swakopmund turned out to be even smaller than it looked on Google maps, but the Hansa Hotel was smack dab in the center. It also bills itself as Namibia's oldest hotel, and the place has a fascinating historical vibe. My second-floor room in the main building (it is a sprawling place that takes up a whole block) was comfortable and beautiful . The bar and restaurant were atmospheric. Everything in this quirky, interesting town is a short walk away, including the beach and jetty. Like the Hansa, many of the buildings are architectural/historical gems, and the small museum is informative about the area's tragic colonial past.

Everything. The place is great, well located with excellent and clean installations. Martina our host was very nice and helpful. She suggested some nice restaurants for dinner and breakfast and they turned out an excellent choice. Thank you for everything.

Excellent location. Walkable area. Spacious. Safe parking. Great restaurant across the street (Ankerplatz).

Great value for money. Very cozy place with everyone anyone may need in a home so I recommend for longer stays. Well set up TV with Netflix etc if that’s your thing. Washing machine with no extra charge is a bonus. The host (Tuli) and the family are so warm and very friendly. Tuli is sooo accommodating in many ways so I felt taken care of as a guest. I’m very grateful and would stay here again.

Very helpful and kind hosts. All the amenities we needed. Very clean, cosy and comfortable.

Very spacious appartment and very well equipped. 200m from a big mall and 100m from the beach. Strong wifi signal. A prominade connects you to the main beach. Beaches are very clean and beautiful gardens are blooming next to the prominade. Excellent value for money.

The place was good, the house keeper even more. She did helpnus to navigate the place easier, thanks to Riana.

Clean, big, comfortable room, TV and hairier is available, kitchen is fully equipped. Not far from the city center (by car), but far enough from the hustle. Nearby fish restaurant (next to the gas station) is super tasty and not a touristic trap. Grocery and pharmacy is also nearby (close to the gas station)

Cozy, but perfect for 2 adults and a child. Unbeatable location. Great hosts.

The Main bedroom bed we sleeped on was so comfortable. And we enjoyed the large kitchen table talks and living room talks. Very comfy. Experience worth the price.
