They were very friendly during check-in. Separate from the resort, I had hired a private driver who attempted to extort me. Luckily I escaped the situation and a driver from the resort picked me up. Still, the driver continued to contact me asking for money and threatening to call the police. He even called the hotel several times. After explaining the situation the hotel staff were very understanding and helped to ward him off. Long story short, the staff will make you feel safe here! Anyway, they offer a range of fun cultural and physical activities to try. I did the Bedouin house tour, Sunset drive, Sand Boarding (highly recommend, good fun), and Camel ride. The food at the restaurant is good and portions are generous. The pool was nice and I wish I used it more.

Amazing spot in the desert surrounded by beautiful sand dunes. The camp itself is the perfect size (not too big not too small) to make the experience even more special. Tents are traditionnal and very comfy with great beds and a little bathroom. All staff is really nice and helpful. We made traditionnal bread and had a lovely dinner in the main area. Activities were fully organized by the camp before arrival. Thank you Alfarooq for making it so easy and enjoyable!! Full transfer from Muscat with a comfortable car and very reliable driver. Camel riding on the dunes Sand sliding Half day excursion in the desert with dune bashing and great driver ! We also enjoyed a very nice lunch under a tree in the desert with falafel rolls, fresh fruit and a plain option for kids with cheese. We absolutely loved our stay and we highly recommend AlSamardi Camp

This place gave us most memorable and special experience!! The staff are super nice. Since it’s private camp, so only maybe 10 families live there, when we have meals together, travelers from different countries all like friends, so cool. I like the breakfast and dinner. We booked the most expensive rooms in this camp. They are exceptional.

La Duna Desert Camp is perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy the desert but with a bit more comfort. We chose La Duna because instead of authentic bedouin tent since we wanted something cozy and relaxing, and it was exactly that. The camp has a great location: private and peaceful, but still easy to reach. The whole atmosphere is beautiful, warm, and a little romantic, especially in the evening. The food was delivered to our tent and it was absolutely delicious. We didn’t do any activities, but the team was so friendly and enthusiastic that we’re sure a 4x4 trip to the sand dunes with them would be amazing. A big highlight of this camp is the bathroom, it honestly feels like having your own mini spa in the middle of the desert. If you’d like a comfortable, charming, and quiet desert experience, we definitely recommend staying at La Duna Desert Camp.

The warmest welcome by Mr. Badr and his entire family. We felt privileged to stay with them enjoyed home-cooked, delicious food, and great company, exquisitely, prepared, sleeping arrangements, separate bathroom with everything one needs, separate dining area, and the lounge. Everything under the blue Omani sky. This has been a once in a lifetime experience.

The most incredible stay at Oman desert private camp. The accommodation is lovely and comfortable, the food is delicious and the staff go above and beyond to ensure your stay is the best it can be. We felt so well looked after and absolutely loved our 3 nights here. To wake up and get out of your tent to see camels right outside in the amazing desert was such a cool experience. Highly recommend this place to anyone and cannot thank the staff enough for their kindness and hospitality!!

Spending a night in a desert camp was a great experience. The accommodation cost is more reasonable than the other desert camps, and you can add on various activities in the desert. The camp is very welcoming; the owner helped us with everything. He even helped us when we had issues with our car in the desert, I highly recommend staying at his place.

This stay was one of the highlights of our holiday. This camp is great for those who want to be close to nature. It is more basic than the other camps around, so the feeling of staying in the desert is probably more authentic than in other camps that have trees and more facilities. The staff was lovely, food delicious and we loved our sunset camel ride. The commun areas was great to hang out with our family. The drive to get there with a 4×4 is very enjoyable and not difficult.

Wonderful tent accommodations in a stunning setting in the desert! We were escorted into the campsite and driven up to the dunes to watch a beautiful sunset as soon as we arrived. The staff are very helpful and warm and made sure we had everything we needed. The dune bashing ride was fantastic!!
