United KingdomWe had an amazing stay here. We had had a long ride in the heat and were welcomed with a beer from the bar. The Manager is a lovely guy and couldn't be more helpful. We had the dinner option which was really nice as was the breakfast with an excellent choice. The rooms are really large which gives that more luxurious feel. Easy to find and safe bike parking.

PortugalI booked the stay last minute for my child's futebol tournament. I found it because it was close to the fields and the team hotel. It ended up being a wonderful relaxing stay. The property has everything you would need - fully equipped kitchen, large living/dining area, nice sized bathroom with a good shower. When I got in, I was a bit worried that my room was next to the street but it was very quiet the whole weekend. The pool was perfection - like being alone in nature and sparkling clean. The town is very picturesque although I didn't get a chance to explore at all.

CanadaMonsanto is truly a place to visit and I wonder how this village ever came to be. Loads of history and charm and rusticness everywhere. Our accommodation, which was novel in itself ( low doors, sloped wooden beamed ceilngs & whitewashed stone walls) added so much character to this place. The housekeping couple who showed us in where so sweet and caring. It was raining cats & dogs and by the time we found the property we were soaked. They quickly got the wood fire going and showed up repeatedly at the door with more firewood and to check on us! Thankyou! There were tons of blankets for the beds and the kitchen had some hi end cooking equipment ( that could use instruction manuals) and loads of hot water. When the sun came out we went out onto the patio and enjoyed some wine as the sun was setting - fantastic views.

CanadaThis property is cozy and comfortable nestled in the center of this charming boulder filled wonder of a village. The property is a quick walk up to the castle and a fascinating stroll through the boulder laden streets.
Eloiza is an amazing host. She met us at the town square and delivered our luggage to the property, a two minute ride and a five minute walk. It was raining when we arrived and she brought us delicious vegetable soup, home made cookies and delicious full bodied wine from the Monsanto region.
Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Eloiza gave us excellent suggestions regarding other places to explore in the area.

Amazing stay in the middle of rural Portugal. The host was absolutely kind, friendly and hospitable and many things to do while staying there!

The scenery is spectacular and the accommodation extremely comfortable.
Simple, traditional and rustic decoration, displayed in a beautiful and subtle way.
The breakfast served was varied and rich, with local jams, cheeses and even a raspberry surprise (no spoilers).
The landscape is absolutely breathtaking, perfect to relax and recharge.
I highly recommend this place.
