While the apartment is next to road, it was very quiet at night. The apartment is comfortable, clean and tidy. It is easy to collect key from the key box. Kitchen is fully equipped. It is a little cold due to mountainous location. However, there is enough blanket and warmer if required. It has a very good location to stay if you travel in this area. Thanks for the hospitality of the host.

Clean and spacious place amongst the stone towns of the Portuguese mountains. Restaurant across the street. Big and well equipped communal kitchen and lounge space. Checkin was at the cafe across the road, where staff were friendly and helpful.

The view from the room was amazing! Room and bathroom ware a decent size and the restaurant downstairs had some amazing food. Staff were lovely.

Javier goes above and beyond to offer each visitor a personalized experience… in short, to use his favorite word… everything was ‘spectacular’!

We have only good things to say. From their willingness to accommodate our requests before arrival, to the warm welcome and fresh bread and fruit upon arrival. We enjoyed our stay in the lovely little cottage.

We loved the location of the house. The interior walls are made of granite which makes the house fresh without the need of air conditioned. Also the house is quite spacious. The hosts had a basket with honey, cheese, and coffee waiting for us. The kitchen is well equipped with all it is needed for a conformable stay. The location allows easy access to all hiking trails of Serra da Estrela. One of the best hiking trails starts very near the house and also gives access to a very nice river beach. If you are traveling with pets, the house is also the perfect spot.

The area and surroundings are stunning. We arrived at night, and in the morning, we were blown away by the incredible scenery! Check-in was a breeze, as we received the entry code on our phone. However, you’ll need a mobile device with internet access to unlock the door. The hosts are fantastic—very friendly and, though they don’t speak English, they make every effort to communicate. All messages were in English, so language was no problem. We even left our Apple Watch charger behind, and the owner kindly offered to send it to us. It arrived within a week, securely packed, even better than factory packaging! The house is beautiful and fully equipped. Highly recommended!

Amazing luxury hotel on top of a mountain with fabulous food and the most helpful & welcoming staff. It has natural waterfalls within the grounds, great air con and the most comfortable beds. The £45 set dinner with wine was great & breakfast substantial!
