It's a very cozy hotel, with nice area around and great restaurant. There's also an own small beach for swimming and a common area, filled with hammocks, swings, sunbeds etc. The room is beautiful and has all what you need. I stayed only one night, but I wish I could make my vacation there much longer!

We just returned from an absolutely magical 4-night stay at Vimarn Samed Resort, and it was the perfect beachside retreat we needed! Nestled on a serene peninsula between two stunning beaches (Ao Prao and Ao Wong Duan, just a 1-minute stroll away), this hidden gem offers a peaceful escape from the busier spots on Koh Samet, while still being close enough to explore the island’s vibrant vibe. From the moment we arrived (after a quick speedboat from Ban Phe pier—pro tip: book transfers through the resort for seamless service), the staff greeted us with warm smiles and cold welcome drinks. The check-in was a breeze, and they even upgraded us to a sea-view room at no extra cost because it was available. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully equipped with air-conditioning that actually cooled the space, a mini-fridge stocked with complimentary water, and a private balcony where we watched sunsets over the turquoise waters every evening. The tropical decor felt authentic and inviting, like stepping into a private Thai villa. The resort’s infinity pool overlooking the ocean was a highlight—crystal clear and rarely crowded, perfect for lazy laps or just floating with a book. We spent hours snorkeling right off the rocky shore in front of the property (bring your own gear, as rentals are limited), spotting colorful fish in the shallow bays. Beach access is super easy, and we alternated between the calmer Ao Prao for sunbathing and the livelier Ao Wong Duan for evening drinks at nearby bars. Meals were a delight, especially the included breakfast buffet on the open-air terrace: fresh tropical fruits, fluffy omelets made to order, crispy Thai pancakes, and strong coffee with ocean views. Dinner at the on-site restaurant was equally impressive—try the grilled seafood platter; it’s sourced fresh daily and bursting with flavor. Everything was excellent. The atmosphere was beautiful and peaceful, and all the staff had such a wonderful attitude. The front desk team and the restaurant staff were especially friendly, attentive, and very welcoming. Even while we were waiting to check in, the restaurant staff provided great service, which we really appreciated. The male staff who assisted with our luggage also provided excellent service from the first day until check-out. I’m not sure if it was the same person, but the level of service was consistently great. The food was great, and the management was well organized. The room was clean, minimal, and nicely designed with a stunning sea view. Dinner was delicious, and the fire show was absolutely amazing. We stayed during my boyfriend’s birthday, and the staff kindly prepared a surprise birthday cake as requested, which made the evening even more special. I was a bit sad that I missed the chance to take photos with the fire show on the beach, but it was still totally worth it the performance was truly beautiful. In the morning, the breakfast was a small buffet, but everything tasted great, and the atmosphere was lovely.

This place was a little gem. The rooms were nice. The bed was large and comfortable. The mini fridge was appreciated for our fruit and water and soft drinks. The breakfast was included and it was large with many options. The staff was extremely kind and gently and helpful. We would definitely come back to this lovely little resort/ hotel.

We stayed in the Villa and it was honestly the most relaxing holiday we've had! The place is a couple minutes by songthaew from the pier (we paid 50 baht/pax). There is no pool but the beach right in front of the property is the cleanest and calmest beach in the island, and we know this because we visited some of the beaches where other luxury resorts were. (To be fair, it was a bit rainy during our stay so this might have been one factor why the other beaches were murky and dirty.) There is a convenience store located in the other beach that you can reach by foot following a concrete pathwalk in front of the property - in case you need to buy some things not present in the resort (in our case, Tylenol!). Breakfast selection was amazing as well - they have everything from an egg station, pastries, and fruits to typical asian breakfast variety. Thai people in general are very kind, helpful, and polite, so it wasn't really a surprise to us that the staff were amazing! They had someone take us to our room and even offered to take us to our massage place during the night. The room itself was immaculately clean - we really felt comfortable and at home the moment we stepped in. No issues with plumbing, AC, and mosquitoes, but if you do have any concerns, their reception can be reached via landline and are quick to help with anything. The size of the room and its interior design are top-notch and not something you expect with the value you are paying. The sea view in the balcony is also a huge plus for me. The whole experience really was the highlight of my holiday and now I am absolutely torn between gatekeeping it and recommending it to everyone! PS - I had read somewhere here that the beach loungers in the resort's restaurant were always occupied by non-guests, but this wasn't the case during our stay. We had no difficulties finding available ones. And if they were all indeed occupied, we just sat in the restaurant.

This wonderful hotel is nestled on a small quiet private beach. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The cabin was very clean and the bed was comfortable. There are plenty of restaurants, cafe's, and bars with-in a few minutes walk. I can't say enough just how much I enjoyed staying here. I will be staying here again in the future.

Quiet garden resort at the edge of town. The room was comfortable and clean. There are a couple of restaurants nearby, but to get to the central area it is best to rent a scooter. We also enjoyed the terrace a lot.

I traveled with a group of 20 as part of a short-term study abroad program. it was a great accommodation for a large group. The staff was really friendly and helpful both before our arrival and during our stay. There were many, many things they did that made our stay better such as showing us to our rooms, helping get luggage up the stairs and helping us get to a medical clinic when needed. I especially appreciated the spacious bathroom. It would have been fine with out it and was a nice touch. My favorite part of this resort was that it was right on the beach! The restaurant was great - a variety of choices with better than expected prices considering we were at a beach resort. It was delicious food - maybe the best Margerita Pizza I've ever had! Our group really enjoyed the fire dancers who go along the beach to different hotels each night.

Been staying at Ao Tub Tim every year for over 20 years and this resort is still a great find. Nice rooms, quiet beach, and helpful staff.
