Property was as described. The owner met us at the entrance and assisted us with getting all of our luggage inside. There was adequate room for eight of us to spread out inside or on the patio. There was also a large hot tub. She assisted all of us with connecting to her wifi. She was a gracious and accommodating hostess. She even assisted us with transportation to the airport.

The property was clean and well-kept. The staff members were very friendly---while they don't speak English, they can communicate you with WhatsApp with translation app. Great location if you have some business on the island or the nearby area. The location is safe, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. The room has a fridge and a microwave as well if you buy some stuff outside. For the price you pay, this place is a very good deal.

Beautiful boho-style hotel with a true tropical holiday vibe. Very clean, great facilities, friendly and professional staff, and delicious food. The pool and jacuzzi were extremely relaxing, and the lush green outdoor area created a peaceful atmosphere. Spacious, comfortable rooms, beautifully decorated with attention to detail.
Absolutely perfect ✨
Spa bath, size of the room, employees were nice, breakfast had lots of selections from cold to hot food, the hot water is pretty hot, does have ac but make sure you ask how to turn it on, the hotel has lots of potential. I'm willing to stay again and see how it is after the renovations.

The food was really good. I loved the pumpkin soup. The staff was very welcoming when we arrived. It was late and the bar was closed but
the bartender returned and made me a caipirinha. Everyone was super friendly with my child and I. I would definitely stay here again if I came back.

Beautiful city with great food.
Beautiful city with great food. We went to Christ the redeemer, Sugarloaf mountain, booked a private tour guide for Tijuca Forest and Santa Teresa on the yellow tram. But sadly got my phone stolen by a man on a motorbike on our 5th day there which highlighted the dark side of the city. We got offered drugs a lot when walking along the pavement parallel to Copacabana beach but never felt threatened. Police are stationed at lots of areas in the city but for good reason. I told an English speaking waiter about my phone and he smiled and said Welcome to Rio!

Niteroi City has the best beaches of Rio: Camboinhas, Itacoatiara Piratininga. It's not a big city, you can be anywhere in 20-30 minutes. If you plan on visiting you must watch the sunset at Parque da Cidade, where people go paragliding; go to Camboinhas Beach and have lunch at one of the sidewalk "Quiosques"; rent a bike and ride all over the city; take the ferryboat to Rio and visit the Port region.

Just walk and walk and walk….every area has a very distinct personality. I haven’t finished my trip yet so I don’t know what the highlight is yet. I went running pretty early and was one of very few people out- that was quite magical. I ended up on one of the sane streets later in the day and didn’t even recognise it when it was full of people.

Niterói is amazing.
Niterói is amazing. A perfect way to balance the bustle of Rio. There are such a variety of beautiful beaches, offering a paradise experience, lots of quietude, and even views across the bay to see another side of Rio. If you have the time, get out of Rio and immerse in the magic of Niterói. Note that Uber's take a little more time, and they can cancel quite often, maybe it's because of the relaxed vibe here. Stay in the relaxed vibe, and be patient, and everything will be fine.

Rio is a big South American city and one needs to take basic precautions, such as being very careful with cell phones (it could easily be snatched from your hands on the street). With those basic precautions, a good time is to be had without a doubt. It is incredibly beautiful. I would advise against the hop on-hop off "Samba bus"--the AI translation is not good at all and it's too expensive for what you get. You are better off with a private tour guide for the day. Also careful with tours that are supposed to pick you up at your hotel--they may miss you and then you're SOL with no way of getting your money back. If you are in Leme/Copacabana, go down to the fort at the end of Leme and go up the hill there if you are able. The area is managed by the Brazilian army. It costs only 10 reais (US$2) per person to get in (free for small children and people over 60) and you get great views. You can also walk at Pista Cláudio Coutinho in Urca, near the Sugar Loaf, for free--beautiful views as well. In Urca, go drink a caipirinha (or whatever) and eat a pastel at Bar Urca towards sunset, sit at the wall there and appreciate the view/the sunset. You're welcome :-)

Niteroi is different from Rio.
Niteroi is different from Rio. Is not as touristy or big as Rio de Janeiro, but it preserves much of the good things Rio has. For instance, food can be very cheap or expensive and still you can be surprised with great flavours. The park of the city is a must to visit and see the landscape from the hill, the fortaleza is also worth visiting. From Niteroi you can go to Rio by boat in a one day or two-day trip. But also you can visit other beaches towards the ocean not as populated or touristy as copacabana or Ipanema. If you are looking for a place more quiet and less touristy than Rio de Janeiro, then Niteroi and San Francisco are going to be good choices. No metro or stadiums in Niteroi

Conveniently located airport hotel (in Terminal 1 of the GIG Rio airport), which is walkable from Terminal 2. Great shower pressure, and a very good daily hotel breakfast that starts at 6am. For an airport, it was a pleasant stay.

Excellent airport transfer (24 hours, every 20 minutes). Helpful staff (both at reception and the restaurants). Good (and most probably the only) option for a transit hotel for Rio GIG airport.
