The host was most friendly and accommodating. The house is in pristine condition and tastefully decorated. The room is the only room in the home that is rented. We were mostly unaware of the family's presence. The kitchen was available to make our own breakfast. Eggs, coffee, juice, milk, cereal, fruit, etc, were provided. The room had plenty of storage space, including a walk-in closet. The double sink in the bathroom was much appreciated. The shower was great. We didn't use the tub. We didn't make much use of the porch/balcony because of the cool weather, but it would have been great in warm weather. The location was perfect for us: Only 10 minutes to downtown Charlottetown and more or less in the center of the island. Would highly recommend.

It is a quiet area with great beaches for families as well as adults. Always a sea breeze to keep one cool. Great area for walking safely along paths . We mainly cooked in cottage but obtained seafood and other ingredients at Jewells country market.

Great variety for dining.

Great variety for dining. We particularly liked The Pilot House - great food, a real neighborhood favorite. The Confederation Centre of the Arts Gallery is a must see for art lovers and a nice respite from the bustling streets. Very walkable, great for couples, families, friend groups alike.

Stratford is minutes away drive to Charlottetown, so it is a nice choice to stay while in PEI. The whole island is beautiful, with beautiful sunsets and calm beaches to swim and enjoy during a warm day. I recommend the fish and chips at Churchill Arms on Queen Street in Charlottetown. They are well served and delicious. We had lobster roll at Peakes Quay Restaurant Bar and it was very good! Try it with their homemade berry sauce, it is so delicious!

It was so comfortable and was located far enough from cities but everything was easy to get to and after our day excursions we all looked forward to “ getting home” as it was very homey.It my first time booking through booking.com and we picked extremely well. The owners made sure we had everything we needed Thank you again for a great vacation

It was a quiet location with parking for our rental car. The unit itself was very well kept and clean. The owner readily suggested places for us to see. He also recommended a small grocery store which was close by.

Brackley Beach and the surrounding area offer some of the...

Brackley Beach and the surrounding area offer some of the best beaches on the north, central side of the island. North Rustico, Charlottetown, New Glasgow, all places I like to get to, are an easy and short drive away. Options for coffee and food are close by if you don't want to go anywhere.

Stanhope was an excellent place to stay for our first time...

Stanhope was an excellent place to stay for our first time on the island. We went mid June so avoided the summer busy season. The cottage was an excellent location to PEI national park and beaches with lots of trails for biking and walking. The property has a large selection of bike rentals and decent daily rates. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed. Comfy beds, kitchen/bbq for cooking and a hot shower. Honestly couldn't ask for anything more.

Charlottetown’s harbor walk is fun and relaxing.

Charlottetown’s harbor walk is fun and relaxing. The locals are friendly and helpful We enjoyed seeing a musical, “Anne of Green Gabels - The Musical” at the Center for the Arts that was a first-class production. Charlottetown was the perfect jumping off point for touring the island. We highly recommend it. It is also the place where on can tour the “Cows” Creamery and Ice Cream Factory. We loved it.

Lovely area just outside Charlottetown.

Lovely area just outside Charlottetown. Close to local amenities. Room was large and clean. Great choice for families as there’s a kitchen and private living room/lounge area to hang out in. Easy to find, quiet area.

I love the area, and it was great being so close to Brackley...

I love the area, and it was great being so close to Brackley Beach itself. It seems that you're rarely more than 23 minutes away from the next thing you want to do in PEI, and we did a lot in just a couple of days. We recommend Leonhard's in Charlottetown for breakfast (great service, fabulous omelettes and breakfast bagels); Lone Oak Downtown for noshing with friends (try their personal-size pizza. You'll thank me later!); Tide & Tales in North Rustico for lunch/brunch (You won't want to eat for HOURS, because their portions are generous and you will be too full!). We visited Island Hill Farm, which was very cool - 5 generations of family farming - baby goats, chickens, horses, miniature horses, Highland cows, alpacas. It was great! Walked at Brackley, but it was impromptu, so we weren't prepared for swimming (which we would have done - the sea was calm!). The Abegweit Mawiomi was held on both Saturday & Sunday - we went on Saturday, and while we did enjoy what we got to experience, it had been raining, so it wouldn't have been safe for the dancers on the grass, which was kind of sad. Sunday, when we had other plans, the weather was much better. If you've never experienced a pow-wow, it's recommended!
