Close to the airport, clean and organized with a family treatment from Tere and Carlos. Great food. And the hummingbirds in the kitchen are a great feature

The lobby areas for resting, specially the availability of hammocks where you can read your favorite book is one of the highlights at Rocas de Cabo Marzo, as well as the pizza every night adds more reasons to choose this place

The town of Mutis in Bahia Solano isn't much, but the area...
The town of Mutis in Bahia Solano isn't much, but the area is impressively beautiful. It's pretty remote feeling here. There seem to be some beach hotels designed for the party crowd: Plays Dubai or Playa Huina come to mind. But that's not really the vibe of this area. It seems more for people coming to dive, hike, snorkel, or whale-watch.
Bahia Solano is a bit difficult to reach, and quite difficult to get out of. You should have at least a day's cushion on the end of your trip before any other obligations or connecting flights. We were lucky to make it out, as it was raining heavily and the outbound flight almost couldn't land. Even when it did, it was only able to take about 2/3 of the ticketed passengers due to weight restrictions on the wet, short runway. Plan accordingly and be prepared for a bit of chaos. It's the price of admission.

The nature is gorgeous but unfortunately the human hand hasn't been the best there. There are not many restaurants you can choose from and at all of them you will always have the choice of the dishes of the day. Surprisingly the fish is never very delicioisly cooked even though is very fresh, the truth catch of the day. It's a very expensive destination since there is almost nothing you can do independenty besides going to the beach and surf. Even though the beach is very beautiful it's also not the best beach expererience for me since the sea is way too hot (over 30 degrees celsius) For whale watching, visit other beaches, and etc you often need to buy an organized tour or ask for a ride from a taxi (tuk tuk or moto). The tours are good but the whale watching is not the best. It's better to do it in bahia solano
