The Staff was excellent, very helpful and welcoming during check in. Helped me order food, called the taxi. The hostel was super clean, breakfast was good, eggs, toast and banana. The AC in the dorms was great.

For the money we got a room big enough to not feel claustrophobic and for 10000 more we could get a AC which was very helpful in this heat. The staff was nice and helpful. Place was feeling safe.

The hosts really went out of their way to make the stay more comfortable. The area is safe and very centric, next to restaurants, bars and checkpoints for transportación. The room was comfy and quiet.

There is basically not much to see in Neiva from a turistic...
There is basically not much to see in Neiva from a turistic point of view. They have an archeological museum but it is closed at the weekends. The waterfront is pretty badly maintained and not much of the river water can be seen. Some of the food vendors in the market take advantage of the foreigners and double the prices. Unless you are really interested in seeing what this city looks like, it is not worth it. The place is hot, with temperatures of 32-34 in the day and 22-23 during the night.

Provincial capital, strategic location for excursions to desert and San Agustin. Good airport with many regional connections.
Really not much to to do there. Busy downtown area like most Colombian cities, few things to see by the riverside. 1 day is more than enough. Climate hot and humid.

Neiva looks sad, abandoned, and dangerous. There is nothing interesting to see. Stay away. I stayed there one night and it was too long. Certain hotels show pictures that do not represent reality. Don’t fall for it.
