Very clean modern apartment. The owner was very nice and helpful. He let me use his bus card, which was very convenient, short walk to catch the bus. I did put money on the bus card, which is more than fair. Would stay there again.

Tranquil & Peaceful! Removed from all the traffic and noise of the city center but still accessible. Within walking distance of the Loja's incredible Zoological Park and Gardens (the hike back up the hill to the apartment is a good workout!)
The vistas are wonderful from the balcony, looking away from the city, and the master bedroom and kitchen, looking toward the city, as well as the roof patio, which gives one an almost 360° view. Our hosts were, as always, very nice and accommodating. This was our second stay, and we plan to go back again. soon!

The staff was super friendly and welcoming, it felt like a home stay or a visit to some distant relative’s house rather than a stay at a hotel. The room was big and comfortable and the breakfasts were fantastic. This definitely ended up being one of our favorite stays in all of Ecuador.

Very well-located spot. It is close to finance, market and commercial areas. I enjoyed a very spacious room, excellente service and breakfast. Person at front desk help me to get a box-lunch the day I leave very early for my job mission and also help me to get a taxi for a trip to the Eolic park.

Small, quiet and secure city.
Small, quiet and secure city. I enjoyed walking around the center and to plan quick trips to nearby places (Vilcabamba, Podocarpus park and ). Love food, very diverse and not expensive. You could find variety of quality, flavours and prices in main dishes, aperitives and coffees .

Loja is a beautiful city with lots of excitement and friendly people. The central market is where you can find fresh organic fruits and vegetables, meat, fish and artisan's collections at reasonable prices. The Columbian market is alive with goods and activity. There is a strong cultural platform in Loja with music, entertainment and history.

Loved the numerous and challenging hills and the lovely parks. It was easy to get around Loja walking or by using public transit or inexpensive taxis. It was very safe. Many nights I walked the central area sometimes well after restaurants and shops had closed and it was dark. There were no incidents or events where I did not feel safe. As a solo female traveller I would rate the city among the top 5 I've visited on 5 different continents for local people who are very helpful to visitors and for the ability to enjoy the city whether alone and in the group.
