This was my first time in Western Sahara, and I honestly didn't expect this level of of modernity here, which sounds like such an ignorant thing to say in hindsight. But the room and especially the bathroom was super nice and clean and the AC was very much appreciated. It was also very easy to get to, I could park right outside, and it was a perfect location to wander around the city. But the biggest shout-out goes to Mohammed at reception. I travel with a cat, and everybody welcomed her with open arms, but Mohammed loved her the most, haha! He also gave me invaluable advice, both for my trip South to Dakhla (he was right on all accounts) and then upon my return heading North, when he really explained some local customs and circumstances to me and then gave me precise instructions to send me on a fun adventure in the city, and of course getting a full report upon my return. To my delight, he was back at reception the very next morning, so I - and the kitty - got to say a proper goodbye. Shortly later, during my drive North, I had a very unpleasant encounter with a man in the desert, and I just reminded myself how wonderful of a person Mohammed is, and I choose to believe that most men are like Mohammed, not the creep in the desert. 😊

The staff were amazing. Khalid was very friendly and helpful to give advice how to spend time in the city. He works during breakfast. The location is perfect and so everyone in reception was helpful. I had a happy stay . The room was spacious and the cleaning lady for my room was lovely giving me tips what to do in the city.
