Gorgeous strip of paradise without being too overrun with the influencer ilk. Of course we went off season, so that likely helped. Spectacular beach and water, gorgeous sunsets, impeccable food both well priced local and elevated French options. Friendly people overall, and highly walkable village.

Unexpected stay -- definitely rent a car, had I been better prepared I would have done so, as taxi rates if traveling solo are expensive. Amazing beaches, calm tranquil waters. There is a free beach sandwiched between two paying beaches. The Anse Marcel Beach Resort offers 2 seats + umbrella for 30 Euros + lunch (its connected to a restaurant).
Local dinner at Del Arti (Italian); and took taxis to Grande Case & Orient Bay for the other 2 nights. Some of the best French food this side of the Atlantic.

Quiet area with beautiful views from the hillsides.
Quiet area with beautiful views from the hillsides. Easy enough to get around, with beaches, shops, and adequate number of restaurants nearby. Easy access to Anse Marcel, Orient Bay, Grand Case and ferry to Pinel. Love the pizza restaurants, like Pepe's and the Super U is great for shopping when staying at a villa.

Coco Beach was BOMB.
Coco Beach was BOMB. The staff was exceptional and very attentive.
La Playa Beach was very good.
Unfortunately right now. The beaches are being inundated with massive amounts of seaweed(?). But they constantly have big vehicles removing it every day. 😀

We stayed on the French side of the island in Grand Case...
We stayed on the French side of the island in Grand Case which has the best food available on the island. All the people that we met were very nice, helpful, friendly and polite. Wide range of accommodations, attractions to please anyone. Beautiful relaxing Island. young or older lots of choices of things to do, places to go and great food across the Island.

You can rent loungers and be part of the action by the cafes/beach bars or go down further and enjoy a quieter time.
Water is calm and not much current
Lolos are a winner and there are other restaurants with some of the best tasting food!

I loved Anse Marcel!
I loved Anse Marcel! The beach was fantastic as it was very calm, and never crowded. A little marina with shops was within walking distance, and larger grocery store app. 10 minute drive. The ferry terminal for
Pinel Island was also a short drive away, providing a fun day trip with great hiking, beautiful scenery, restaurants and resort beach area. It was also possible to book other tours and day trips from the marina as well. Fabulous hiking in the area, but I would have liked to see more signage for the locations.

Orient Bay is a very long fairly narrow beach with a number of beach bars and restaurants that each own a number of beach chairs and umbrellas that are available for rent. It seems that $20 or 20Euro per day with two included drinks is typical for the more southern end but in the central area prices can be higher - up to 40E per day. We ate at Le String, Aloha and Kakao. All were good but Kakao was much more pricey. The beach is very nice with fine sand and clear turquoise water. However, the day after it rained the water was churned up with seaweed and sand. One of the best things about Orient Bay is the "La Place du Village" in the centre with a number of restaurants around a central area with a stage. We tried several of the restaurants and liked all of them but they are all quite pricey, except Roasty's is the most affordable. Parking can be an issue if you don't get to the beach early enough. The main road through the resort area has a number of speed bumps and potholes (like elsewhere on St Martin). We drove around the island to see other beaches but didn't find another beach as nice as Orient Bay.

Saint Martin is very beautiful, and the weather was also perfect. Once we were familiar with the area, we were able to navigate around with our rental car. The traffic on Airport Road was always congested.

The Grand Case restaurants were fantastic.
The Grand Case restaurants were fantastic. I believe the area is still rebuilding from the great hurricane of 2017. We had visited the island in 2016 and there were still many areas that are not back to the previous levels. We also liked the Maho Beach area and there were many nice restaurants & casinos to visit there.
