LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! It is so nice to say no thank you to all of the taxi drivers and simply roll your airport cart to the front entrance. We had an early morning international flight, so it is really nice that we didn't have to worry about traffic!

From the manager personally walking me to a pharmacy when I was ill, to the meals prepared just the way I asked, to the rooms being clean, quiet, the shower was great and hot, the bed comfy with an nice comforter.

I loved mainly being by the Stupa.
I loved mainly being by the Stupa. It was a very authentic Buddhist experience. The shops around the stupa were wonderful and the cafe's and restaurants were wonderful as well. Baudhatincule is a wonderful place to stay upon first arriving to Katmandu. It is much quieter, more authentic and relaxed. The local people are so friendly and warm.

It is less filled with tourists than Kathmandu or Thamel and seems to me more authentic. The Durbar square is amazing, as well as the small local temples and stupas. You can find delicious food everywhere, whatever you want, and people are very nice. You can get around on foot, but if you want to go to Kathmandu itself or to Bhaktapur, you can take a car via the Indrive app.

Maybe because it was so easily accessible to my lodging (I was able to walk there twice), and the smallest of the three; or very possibly due to its being my introduction to the stunning architecture of the Newar culture and the history of Hinduism & Buddhism in Nepal. I recommend a full day to see the temples and do the museum justice; a guide is definitely a plus, to get the most out of your visit.

My absolute favorite hotel in KTM. The staff is friendly and helpful and I could tell they really liked working there. I arrived before 2pm but that was no problem. My modern room was spacious, clean and smelled fresh. The hotel is located on a busy street but my room was very quiet. I was leaving early for the airport and they packed a sumptuous breakfast take-away for my trip. The hotel has an elevator which was also a good perk for an older man.
