We recently stayed at the newly renovated Le Pearl at Tikehau, and let’s just say—it’s the kind of place that spoils all future vacations. The hotel is still undergoing renovations, but honestly, you’d barely notice. There’s no noise or disturbance at all, just a wonderfully tranquil vibe. With only part of the property open, it feels like your own private island getaway. We saw maybe 15-20 people total during our stay, making it delightfully peaceful. We had the chance to try out the overwater bungalows, which are freshly updated and absolutely breathtaking. Some offer direct access to the lagoon from your private deck—a true bucket-list experience. We also stayed in a beach bungalow, offering a private beach just steps from the shore. Both types of bungalows are beautifully renovated with sleek interiors, offering a luxurious and comfortable stay. If we had to pick a favorite, overwater Bungalow #7 is the ultimate choice. It offers the most privacy and an unbeatable view of the sunset. Whether you choose a bungalow with or without lagoon access, the interiors are identical—so it really comes down to personal preference. The renovations throughout the hotel are top-notch. From the chic bar and restaurant to the beautiful infinity pool that seems to merge with the lagoon, everything has been designed with care. The staff? Absolutely lovely—warm, attentive, and eager to make every moment special. Now, let’s talk about the food. Breakfast is a dream: fresh pastries, bread, brioche, fruits, eggs—you name it. It’s a buffet that doesn’t feel like a buffet (yes, it’s that good). Lunch and dinner are equally exceptional. Hats off to the chef for crafting refined dishes featuring fresh, local fish. For such an isolated location, the quality of the meals is mind-blowing. Even the cocktails at the bar are thoughtfully crafted—no generic drinks here. The barman was so friendly and added a personal touch to the experience. Getting there was seamless.

We had an incredible stay at Christianne’s place. She is a fabulous hostess and a wonderful cook. Our family of four really enjoyed our stay and would love to go back someday. It is so beautiful and relaxing there.

We were greeted by the biggest smile from captain Manu and Steve. Took a scenic boat ride to what seemed like our private island. Virgini and the multiple sea creatures at the dock (including black tip sharks) welcomed us. This place is paradise on earth. And the host and crew made it even better. I’ve never been so welcomed in all the years I’ve traveled. Virgini and Steve went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Chef Ben made us delicious meals during our stay. I wasn’t expecting much because I haven’t had the best dinning experience while in the Tuamotus but I was surprised and extremely happy with the daily meals. Definitely worth getting full board meals while there. It’s stress free, one less thing to think about and delicious. We had this nice bungalow by the water. The sandy beach seemed like it would go on for ever from one little island to the next. Every morning we were welcomed by different hermit crabs showing off their beautiful homes. Multiple birds would hunt close to the lodge. The sunsets were like fire on the horizon then the stars followed as splatter trails in the sky. You can decide to do tours or just relax or play on the beautiful beach at your doorstep. Manu took us on a guided tour for manta snorkel bird island and pink sand beach. Virgini helped us schedule our guided tour and scuba dive. I have visited lots of different places in Polynesia and will say I found my favorite place. We loved it so much we decided to stay 2 extra days. I can’t wait to come back and visit Virgini Steve and the crew (Manu, Ben and Tea). Hopefully by the time I come back Ben and Manu will have their guitar and ukulele so we can jam next time. I highly recommend staying at Te Manu Lodge

The beyond appreciative care of the host, the unique location

Am amazing bungalow., beautiful view and a fantastic host.

The location is stunning, with lovely views and excellent swimming just outside the door. Plenty of privacy and quiet. Christiane had stocked the bungalow with yummy breakfast food and while unobtrusive, she was extremely helpful throughout our stay. The bed and bathroom were very nice. Best of all was Christiane's hospitality. We felt pampered and so lucky to be able to enjoy her bungalow, her peerless hospitality, and the sheer magic of Tikehau.

Everything! The food was great, staff are always cheerful and helpful. And the location is heaven!
