Dipolog City can be quite busy so allow for time in traffic.
Dipolog City can be quite busy so allow for time in traffic. Plenty of banks, ATM's & food choices. Plenty of shops. Great little town for locals, expats & tourist alike. Relatively safe for international travellers.

The people of Dipolog were very obviously not ready for a...
The people of Dipolog were very obviously not ready for a family of 4 tall Australians walking around their streets, we were stared at very intensely everywhere that we went, which was a bit off putting. We were there visiting a local friend, who was a great guide and helped us to navigate Tuk tuks and Baò Baòs ( do it, it's fun and only around 25-50 pesos per person, depending where you're going). We squeezed 5 is us onto both types! We had dinner at Grandma's restaurant, great food and atmosphere and great prices, close to the boulevard for an after dinner walk
We used Panda to order meals to our various hotels, they were efficient and quick but they quite often wouldn't have change, so ended up with pretty good tips😒. Next time we would hire a car and driver so that we could see everything.

Dipolog is a up and coming city in Mindanao.
Dipolog is a up and coming city in Mindanao. It has its share of nice restaurants, malls and a plethora of food options. The nightlife is tame compared to other major Philippine cities. But the locals are nice and there are trips one can take outside of the city to appreciate nature. Only drawback is the beach in Dipolog proper is not clean enough to swim on.
