The place is very clean, complete with appliances, and the environment is quiet and very relaxing. The care taker has very gentle dogs and a cat, big plus if you're a pet person. Beach just in front if you want to take a dip. Care taker was also proactive in helping us get settled and accomodating us.

Family business, it felt like home for us. Very good room, clean and spacious. Bed is comfortable and the shower doesn’t wet the whole bathroom (as in almost all hotels in Philippines) and has a a good pressure. The breakfast is tasty, but simple and always the same (toasted bread, omelete and a little bit of fruit).

This homestay is a practical and budget-friendly choice. While it isn’t a luxury stay, it provides all the essentials you need for a functional visit. It has a complete set of kitchen tools, a dining area, and a water dispenser (both hot and cold). Having all the necessary cookware and a proper dining table allowed us to cook every day and save on meals. The hot and cold water dispenser was also a very useful touch. A solid, no-frills option that is definitely worth the rate. It’s not fancy, but it’s a very practical setup for travelers on a budget. The owner was also very accommodating and helpful throughout our trip.

The owners were extremly friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was very welcoming. Our room size was more than enough. Since the location is outside of the center, a scooter is definitely needed. The good part is that the owner rents scooters as well.

White sand beaches are small and not amazing.

White sand beaches are small and not amazing. Small area to swim at high tide and lots of sea grass. North eastern section has much nicer beaches with good snorkelling and diving but is remote from towns and eating out options. Waterfalls are beautiful. Need a scooter to get around.

Larena is nice but far away from Squijour.

Larena is nice but far away from Squijour. You have to hire a motorcycle. Public tricycle usually don't stop for you on the road. Best time for public tricycle is in the morning. Hire if you call tricycle from hotel they would charge 600 pesos and they aren't that helpful.

Untouched and very much opposite of the main islands.

Untouched and very much opposite of the main islands. This is the place to go if you want to unwind and get away from the over crowded islands. Super affordable. A trusting place, u can leave your scooter key in ( not recommending u do it but that’s how safe the place is ) and return to everything as was. The people are all so beautiful there is not an ounce of anger in their souls. Calmest energy on the island, I’ve travelled quite extensively and Siquijor is def up there in my top 2 fav islands I’ve visited.

The neighbourhood is really nice and the locals are particularly kind and welcoming. The area around the hotel is very quiet, we didn't hear any noise. The view of the sea and the distant mountains of Negros is breathtaking. There are plenty of bars and restaurants along the beach in San Juan, and lots of activities to enjoy in the area. Highly recommended!

Going to Cambugahay Falls is a great experience for everyone...

Going to Cambugahay Falls is a great experience for everyone but the young at heart should take it easy and be extremely careful in going down and up the steps. The signage/tarpaulin to the Fairy Walk should be displayed where it can be easily seen. Salagdoong Beach is simply beautiful and a must see for all, not just for cliff jumpers. The cliffs are amazing. Same with Pitogo Cliff. Extraordinarily beautiful. Paliton Beach is also worth-seeing.

San Juan, Siquijor is about a 30-45 min trip from the Port...

San Juan, Siquijor is about a 30-45 min trip from the Port of Siquijor. At the time of this writing, a P1,500.00 tricycle tour charge rate (capacity is comfortable for two persons - but may add more people, depending on the person's size, the skill of the tricycle driver and more importantly, his (or her) approval for the total payload, as the driver has to maneuver a few steep climbs. We got ours from the Port, right after the ferry ride from Dumaguete City. The P1,500.00 charge starts the moment you agree to the rate, up to the time you tell the driver you had enough. Do not waste time finding a cheaper rate as it is standard. People of Siquijor will not cheat you so you would not be charged more even if you are tourists. Siquijor is generally a tranquil place, depends where you actually booked (far from he noise), but I think its just overrated as the beach where we were taken was filled up with seaweeds - harmless but nonetheless, irritating (we could not help compare it with the sandbar experience we had in Bais, Dumaguete - in this sense). But don't get me wrong, the beach we went to was clean. We just did not like the idea of getting seaweeds over our heads when you get off from the warm sea. For us, the overnight was good enough just to see the island and experience the people, but of course if you plan to stay longer, then you may do so - really just depends on what you like. The people are friendly and nobody forces you to buy anything or approaches you and make you feel uncomfortable. Would I go back? For sure I would - after seeing the other island paradises my Motherland has to offer of course!
