The many beautiful beaches and food variety made this location one that we must return to again. We were in PR for 7 days and wanted to visit as many places around the island as possible. That we were only able to stay for one day.

Isabela is a beautiful and peaceful coastal town.

Isabela is a beautiful and peaceful coastal town. The people of Isabela are very charismatic and helpful. Our favorite places were: Jobos Beach, a safe beach for swimmers and anyone starting out in surfing or bodyboarding, La Pocita de Jacinto, Los Almendros, for fried food; Verde Menta and Blessings Café. Our stay was not on a weekend (Sunday to Wednesday)

Playa Montones and its restaurant was superb!

Playa Montones and its restaurant was superb! The food of the restaurant was so delicious, fast delivery and taste was unmatched by any I have taste around the world. The beach was safe with the "rompe olas" behind it. It would help to clean it up from unsafe sticking up pointy pieces of metal and plastic endangering children playing there. Their parking lot was awesome and cheap, security was great too.

This is real Puerto Rico.

This is real Puerto Rico. We went to the Isabella plaza Friday and Saturday night and they had Salsa dancing, a band, lots of food vendors. The local food truck scene is seriously off the chart. The people are super friendly. highly recommend this area.

We just at there and spent the night.

We just at there and spent the night. Aguada itself going through town on the highway was fine. Getting to the hotel on the other hand was very stressful. However the room itself was nice. Wish it had been on a main highway. That would have made it a 100% 💯👌👍

I grew up there so I'm kind of the proud mama at how far it's come since the hurricanes. It's a beautiful little oasis and has so much to offer. It can be a pain in the butt with the insane drivers there. Favorite place? Rex Ice Cream. I am NOT home til I get my corn with cinnamon Rex Ice Cream. I also love Crashboat beach, but it gets super crowded on weekends.

The scenery was so beautiful.

The scenery was so beautiful. The culture is friendly you must speak some Spanish to be able to communicate. So much history to see and explore. The locals are very friendly good food but expensive! I would travel a different time of the year. The rip tides were up and very strong even though I wasn’t in the ocean my 2nd day I was knocked down by a wave on shore and slammed into a rock. Getting hurt and broke my phone. I was slightly being pulled out into the ocean but I was able to recover and made it back before being completely pulled out into the ocean. People had just drown there earlier that week and they were still searching for the body. Over all great experience in Isabella. Not enough souvenir shops only found one in Isabella. I also traveled to Arecibo and Rincon and I didn’t find any there either . There are not a lot of places to shop in Isabella for food or supplies. There is a Walmart there. It’s very small and cost more than in the states.there roads are in poor condition and very narrow. People drive erratically there. We had someone do a turn in the middle of the one lane road and head right back at us causing us to almost go into a ditch to avoid a head on collision. It’s also a place where many animals horses and chickens free roam and cows randomly even in the downtown area of Isabella. There is more shopping and it’s more Americanized in Arecibo.

One important thing I didn’t mentioned about my arrival to the hotel was that I was approached by forgot if it was 3 to 4 big barking dogs and I tan out of gait when they all came running towards me, which was scary plus I am allergic to dogs and inmediately my airway felt narrowed so I had to leave within minutes after the host finished talking
