The house is in the basement, and clean and tidy, there is everything you need for your stay, and the owner was living upstairs, she is a very nice lady, so if you need something, you can ask. Even I asked something, and the owner was away from home, but within five minutes, she returned for my help... Thank you....

We were very happily surprised with everything at Treetop! Starting from the reception, where Sylviana offered some cava on the house to toast our wedding day and gave us a better room. Room was clean and spacious with comfortable bed and linens. The best part was the rooftop spa. The way it’s deigned on top of the hill, with the open sky and trees around, when you are in a hot tub or just lying down you’ll feel like you are in a totally different place like some Hawaiin island :) And the rooftop bar, the music everything was just perfect, we couldn’t have imagined anything more. They have multiple hot tubs and suanas - woodfire was really good. This place feels like a hidden gem so close to Gothenburg city. And yes, next morning the breakfast buffet was so so good! Food tasted really good. Overall we had an amazing experience and I’m glad to have a found a cozy weekend getaway from Gothenburg.

Location was nice & quiet & good, but there was not much in the area to do. I suppose this was fine, considering we used it as a jumping off point for Gothenburg & a trip up the Bohuslan coast, but was just expecting a bit more. Still an excellent property & stay though & I would highly recommend it.

The city is great with beautiful buildings and interesting museums (we did the Volvo museum, the Maritime museum and Göteborg's city museum). There is a lot to see and the city center or old town are really pleasant. There is a lot of great places to eat to, but it can easily become a little expensive.
We also visited some islands in the Archipelago (Brännö, Styrsö, Donsö and Vrangö). It was really beautiful and calm, the incredible landscapes. There is not much elevation gain so it is accessible to everyone. We camp for one night on Bränno and for one on Styrsö. Be careful and always check if camping is allowed since there is a lot of protected areas ! It can also be quite windy.
It is also really easy to commute with the ferries. They are included in Goteborg's transportation subscription so you don't have to pay anything if you have it (We took the 72h pass).

Kungalv is a lovely place to visit with the river and...
Kungalv is a lovely place to visit with the river and fortress. There are some small independant shops with a bigger supermarket at the end of the village. I stayed at the Fars Hatt hotel but I would advise you look elswhere if you are planning on staying. There are ample bus services ar regular intervals.

It was hard for us to understand exactly what we had booked and the room was compact for a family of 4. A floor plan would help us more clearly understand when booking. There was no sauna we could use which was disappointing as from booking.com we were lead to believe there was one for use by everyone staying.
The location is great but you are on a working harbour so can be quite noisy in the night due to high winds and fisherman!
The fish restaurant & walks around the island were excellent.
Overall a good stay in a clean / modern room and Helen was extremely helpful.

Kalvsund is both beautiful and tranquil, and whilst apparently isolated, it is deceptively easy to get to by regular public transport from the centre of Gothenburg. We cannot recommend it highly enough if you are looking for somewhere which is quiet and has stunning scenery.
Recommend the ‘Seaside’ restaurant in the adjacent island of Bjorko (see photo) for excellent fish dishes and great staff - we loved it.

A great city with plenty to do for children. We loved the universarium and the parks. We would love to come back child free too as we passed lots of lovely areas to sit and relax and great restaurants.

We stayed in Surte because Gothenburg City Centre was too expensive. It is a 10 min ride on the train from Gothenburg city centre, Zone A ticket. From the Surte station it was just a 10 min walk to the hotel. There are buses right outside the station too. Surte itself is a quite little residential place, I don't think there's anything of particular interest here.

Very picturesque city.
Very picturesque city. Lot's of activities to do, especially on the waterfront. We couldn't go to Universeum, which apparently is a must-visit for families. I will do next time. Don't miss archipelago tours. If you buy a transport pass, 281 and 282 ferries also go to some of the archipelago's. I'd advise a visit to them and experience the life there.
