This was the only available option in Lulea, so we stayed there even though it was a little farther from the town center than the other hotels. But it is an easy, straight 15 or 20-minute walk from the train station. It is very clean and new. Great Greek restaurant next door. The Coop grocery store is also very close by.

The location is perfect, exactly in the city center, in front of a beautiful frozen lake and close to everything. It is only 10min walking distance from the train station. Rooms are small but private and perfect for my stay. The kitchen is fully equipped, large bathrooms and laundry is free for use. All common spaces were clean.

The Comfort Hotel Arctic is a great hotel near Central Luleå and located right next to the train station. It is a quick 5-10 min walk into the city where one can take the bus to all the attractions in and around Luleå (e.g., Gammelstads kyrkstad, Luleå isbana, Karlsvik). The breakfast is tasty and filling and the hotel even offers cheap dinners (ca. 120 SEK) most nights of the week if one wants to save some money). The beds were comfortable and the gym and sauna are great and modern, especially for visiting during the winter as we did. The hotel staff was even kind enough to keep our beers and other drinks in their refrigerator (the rooms lack refrigerators).
