The room was beautiful and clean. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and the driver was very kind and picked us up very early in the morning for our flight. It was the perfect place to stop in close proximity to the airport.

We only saw the house where we stayed in a neighborhood...
We only saw the house where we stayed in a neighborhood under construction on a dirt road, which you could only find if you knew the place. No real street address that a taxi could find. Once at the house, there is really nowhere to go. If you picture a village with any amenities, this is not the place. A place on the main road, near markets, gas stations, etc. might be different.

I'm a business owner; I know keeping up with a demanding career like hospitality isn't for the negligent. People pay attention to details—rooms are clean. I tried the local dish, Thieboudienne (a bit like the Jollof rice), and they made it so well. Modou, the driver, is very kind-hearted and available when you need him(his vehicle is neat, too 😀). The DSS Airport is in a developing outskirts and if you want a place close by, considering that it is not downtown Dakar, the place is cool! Overall, I think the crew at Poponguine is passionate about what they do, and it's obvious.
