They were just so polite. From the front office to housekeeping. That to me is always an extra positive aspect when I do get a chance to get away. To be in the company of people who seem to care about you. A smile goes an absolute long way. It was so peaceful I skipped breakfast.

I'll start with the staff....MOST EXCELLENT! I really enjoyed the onsite bar and restaurant! Very convenient and was a relief not having to to off the property to dine!

Small but excellent seaside motel.

Small but excellent seaside motel. The owners live in the facility. The room contained a small frig, a great microwave, and even a coffee machine with coffee paks. The location is a block away from the Ocean View Library and business center with a variety of shops and restaurants. Even in the Winter, plenty to do without the beach crowds.

Norfolk has a lot to offer both historically and culturally.

Norfolk has a lot to offer both historically and culturally. The people are friendly and inviting. There is a large selection of places to eat from Vegan to Asian to Indian etc. The waterfront is a great place to spend some time

Only two improvements needed that I saw.

Only two improvements needed that I saw. The bathtub was slick and there was not mat to put into the tub to prevent slipping. So I did not shower for fear of falling. I took a sink bath. There was only one roll of toilet paper and we searched every closet for another but did not find any. We used it sparingly to make it last during our stay. We left our car parked at the location while we were on a cruise. When we returned, I had a flat tire. It was not fault of the host or the neighborhood, but a neighbor man was kind enough to help change the tire so we could go

This place is a drug house for addicts.

This place is a drug house for addicts. They were doing shady dealings in the parking lot & inside of the building. The entire building wreaked of marijuana. Do not stay here especially with your children.

Hampton has a lot of foodie and festivals in the summer that are easy to travel to, but I64 traffic can be heavy toward VA BEACH ⛱️. Hampton Roads is connected to Tidewater, and there's normally something going on.

We aren't city people, so the amount of construction and...

We aren't city people, so the amount of construction and people was a bit overwhelming for us. Some of the major roadways were HUGE and traffic ran fast and the locals were kind of unforgiving if you didn't know which lane to be in. Lots of flooding during heavy rains as it is only like 4 feet above sea level. We were in town to see the USS Wisconsin, as my father served on her in the 50s. The ship was amazing and quite a sight to behold. Aside from that, we didn't really bother with the rest of the city.

It’s an industrial/naval city so nothing like Savannah for...

It’s an industrial/naval city so nothing like Savannah for example but there’s still a lot to do for certain interests and a lot of energy there. Fun for a couple of days but no more. Not enough tours available. However, we really enjoyed the ferry and the rentable scooters!

Booking.com. you ruined my entire stay cation.

Booking.com. you ruined my entire stay cation. Your listing / booking. Stated room rate for two nights and a $50.00 deposit. When I arrive at 10pm after a 5 hour drive , I'm hit with a $50 a night per room fee. 200.00. You mislead me completely. I expect a full refund immediately.

We stayed at the landing at the Hampton Marina.

We stayed at the landing at the Hampton Marina. We woke up each morning with a beautiful sunrise. Very nice experience, clean space and friendly welcoming staff. We were there for a Hampton University visit. Buckroe beach is one of our favorite places in Hampton. The Marina has such a beautiful view. We always enjoy our visit to Hampton Virginia.

Spark Hotel by Hilton was perfect for my 2 nights in Norfolk for business. Spark is CLEAN, Comfortable, 24-hour coffee & tea available in the lobby, bagels & cream cheese, yogurt, and orange juice (cereal & oatmeal too) make a great quick breakfast before heading out for my day. All personnel were friendly and helpful. The beach is just a quick drive 1 mile down the road! I highly recommend Spark!
