Wonderful stay in the very special island of Bequia
The unit I stayed is right on the beach, literally 3 steps from the sand and the water !
The cottage was confortable (AC's, fan, long chairs, etc) and spacious with a large living room with high ceiling
The staff welcomed me and made me feel at ease. They helped with taxi and restaurant recommendation.

The pictures cannot show how perfect Harbour View House is! We stayed for 4 days and are already planning our next trip back. The house is in the perfect location, you are able to walk down to Port Elizabeth and easily get a taxi to anywhere else you want that may be farther. It is only a short walk from the ferry as well which was extremely convenient, we even did the walk with all our luggage. What made the stay the most special were the owners, they made us feel at home and had the best recommendations for us. The entire house is gorgeous and immaculate and the view of the harbor and beaches was incredible to wake up to every morning. We will be back!

Really local little town.
Really local little town. The bakery was great, the grocery store as well. The fish market was spectacular - local fresh caught fish in the afternoon for a very good price. The beaches were easily accessible and quite nice. Lots of restaurants and bars along the beach. ATM and pharmacy in town as well.

However unless familiar with hilly terrain and experience of the island not a choice to stay
Chalet for families lovely. Location for new visitors to the island is not advisable. No shops or ease to get around with
.if hiring car. You must be able to navigate hilly terrain..otherwise isolate location on hills. Lovely view.otherwise.

Love this luxury space. Beautiful setting.
Love this luxury space. Beautiful setting. Indoor and outdoor. Appliances, full kitchen like at home; washer/dryer. 5 minutes drive to beautiful sand beach. Peaceful, ocean breezes from sliding glass wall with mountainside/ocean views of the Atlantic Ocean. Waking up to sunrises, and sunsets from this property. Whoa. Absolutely marvelous. Exotic foliage, birds. Restaurant, bar nearby. Yacht charters, water sports, excursions, ferries available to nearby islands. You can be in touch on this lovely cliffside villa with WiFi. Parking available for airport car rentals. 8 minutes from airport. I should have booked a longer stay, since I traveled hours by flight from another country. I didn't want to leave! Maybe I shouldn't write this review so it will be available to book and the reasonable price would not change. I'm going back!

Typical backpacker’s stay.
Typical backpacker’s stay. Room was outdated, but everything was there. And worked. Good location. Pretty close to the beach, a supermarkt and a good restaurant. Close to the main road for connections all over the island. Important if your are on foot. Hith-hiking went pretty easy as well. Extra nice that Mrs. Carmelita allowed me to leave the backpack till late in the afternoon.

Not much to do during the daytime or night. We were here only to visit an elderly friend.

Kingstown can either be a hustle and busy place or it can be a place to quietly walk go in and out of shops. Choosing what you want. You can either greet the people or just have some alone time in a crowd. Either way it is lovely.

There is a great view over the sea near Young Island, but you'd need to hire a car to be able to travel around, since the immediate area doesn't offer a lot. BUT, it is superbly located for overnighting 1/2 way between airport and city centre.

Everyone's friendly but not much to do in Arnos Vale.
Everyone's friendly but not much to do in Arnos Vale. Except for driving to the hotels I can't say that I would venture out at night in Arnos Vale. We were told that there is mostly no night life after 11pm, but that's ok. I must say that we were grateful to have a good bite to eat at the Chill Spot after midnight, just down the block from Buttercup Cottage.
Places we ate...
At Chill Spot and Bar on Vigie Highway, we ordered chilli rubbed bbq wings, cheese burger, potato wedges and Hairoun (local) beer. Lunch at French Verandah Restaurant at Mariners Hotel on Windward Highway. Dinner at Basil's Restaurant and Bar on Bay St, Kingstown.
In Bequia we ate at Mangoz Beach Club and De Reef Restaurant and Bar. Great places to chill.. right on the beach off Lower Bay Road.
