Hotel is clean, modern and well run. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are large with a balcony with nice views to the mountains. Free drinks and cakes in the afternoon/evening is a wonderful touch. Breakfast is a nice continental buffet availablefor about 4 hours. Quite location except for as the name says it is a family hotel. If children are staying you will hear them in the morning playing in the large driveway. Short walk into town for dinner. They also provide a washing machine and dryer free for guests use (including washing powder). If you come for skiing they also have a drying area for your wet clothing overnight. Plenty of free parking in front ofbthe hotel. If you come by motorcycle they have a garage for overnight parking.

Variety for breakfast and dinner was excellent. Snacks choices were good. Annika found me a suitable box to ship home ski gear after I was injured. It was a huge weight off my mind and off luggage. 😁 After moving to another lovely hotel in Bad Hofgastein, we recognize just how comfortable and cared for we were at Oberforsthof. Everything was fantastic, and we were absolutely thrilled with the accommodation. The kitchen was very well-equipped with appliances, making our stay very comfortable. The only minor point was that there could have been a few more dishes considering the size of the dishwasher, but that’s just a small detail. Overall, everything was absolutely perfect for us and we will return to this place for sure.
