We were welcomed with fresh scones, homemade jam and a bottle of their organic apple juice! After settling in we were treated to a walk around the farm that included a chance to stand in one of the two ancient ring forts in the pastures and have a glimpse at the burial mound. Got to chat about the cattle and the sheep as well. Plenty of food choices for breakfast and even had a taste of Irish field mushroom cooked the “traditional” way…in the microwave. Comfy beds and relaxing places to sit in the living room. A great start to our visit to Ireland.

This was the perfect stop as we made our way west through Ireland. The place had everything we needed—very comfy, well-equipped, and a great spot to rest and recharge along the journey. Plenty of space to relax. We couldn’t have asked for a better stopover. Highly recommend!

I stayed at Orchid Mews for two nights over the weekend while taking part in a local marathon, and it was absolutely perfect. The setting is incredibly peaceful—ideal for relaxing and recharging after a long run. The family who runs it are so warm and welcoming, which really added a personal touch to the stay.
