  • Learn about the amenities and services offered, such as designated pet areas, treats, and dog walking routes

Bringing your furry companion on vacation can be a rewarding experience, but it can also be stressful if you're unsure of how your pet will be received at your chosen accommodation. Luckily, many pet-friendly hotel chains around the world can accommodate you and your pet.

To help you plan your next pet-friendly getaway, we've compiled a list of some of the best hotel chains that cater to both you and your animal companion.

What makes a hotel pet-friendly?

Pet-friendly hotel chains typically offer a range of amenities and services that cater to the needs of pets and their owners. These can include:

  • Designated pet-friendly rooms or areas
  • Food and water bowls
  • Pet beds and blankets
  • Waste bags
  • Outdoor areas for exercising
  • Nearby pet-friendly parks and attractions

Some hotel chains that allow dogs may also offer additional services, such as:

  • Dog walking or pet-sitting
  • Grooming services
  • Special pet menus
  • Veterinary care

When choosing a pet-friendly hotel chain, it’s important to consider your pet's needs.

Some factors to think about include:

  • The size of your pet
  • The type of pet you have
  • Your pet's temperament
  • Your pet's activity level
