Known to locals and fans as ‘The White Queen’, the lighthouse invites a self-guided visit where you can explore at your own pace. As you move through the site, you will be introduced to a wonderfully constructed tower and the lives of the lighthouse keepers who once worked there. The location has also been used as a setting for the TV series Round the Twist and for MASTERCHEF, which you may recognise as you look around.

Along the way you will find stunning 360-degree coastal vistas stretching over the Bass Strait and the Southern Ocean. The views give a strong sense of the wild sea and the region’s shipwreck history. You will also see how contemporary coastal conservation connects with the Marine Sanctuary below. Whether you are interested in maritime history, coastal conservation, or simply want to capture a memorable photograph, the site offers varied perspectives and stories to explore.
