This self-guided walking tour will give you the chance to explore some of the famous communist landmarks of Sofia. During the walk, you'll pass historic buildings and structures that will offer insights into the communist history of the Bulgarian capital.
Starting from the Monument to the Soviet Army, you'll hop on a trolley to ride to the National Palace of Culture, which displays a part of the Berlin Wall. The tour will continue to Vitosha Boulevard to reach the Bulgarian Communist Party's former headquarters. You can then head up to the Georgi Dimitrov Mausoleum,before concluding your trip at an antiques market near Alexander Nevsky Cathedral.
