In Blumenau you will explore the long history of crystal, from the time of the Egyptians to the present day, and learn about a local industry that has manufactured crystal there since 1952. The experience combines the factory and the museum so you may gain both historical context and a close-up view of modern production.

During the guided visit you will follow the production stages: the mixing of raw materials, the impressive crystal blowing, and the later phases of lapidation and polishing. Along the way a guide will explain techniques and craftsmanship, giving you a different perspective on how each piece is made. The full blowing or casting stage may sometimes be unavailable, and on weekends and holidays visits include the factory and museum tour but not the casting/blowing process.
