This ice fishing experience in Yellowknife lets you enjoy the activity from the comfort of a heated tent or, when conditions allow, a cabin. A cabin is usually available between 20 December and 31 March when the ice is sufficiently thick; otherwise warm tents will be used to keep you comfortable on the ice.
You will take part in jig fishing with supervision and may join a traditional net pull when weather permits. Along the way you will learn basic jigging techniques with guidance and experience a local method of net fishing if conditions allow, all while staying sheltered from the cold.
