As Ottawa marks its 200th anniversary and the tour celebrates its 50th, you’ll join the original landmarks bike tour that has welcomed visitors to the Nation’s Capital since 1976. Your senior guide, Robert, offers a distinctive local perspective: his family’s connection to Ottawa dates back to the 1830s and is exclusive to the city. He presents a unique, original and entertaining narrative unavailable elsewhere, so along the way you’ll hear unusual historical details, enjoy many lovely sights and hear an anecdote about the community or its inhabitants to raise a smile.
You’ll follow a route that uses pathways only, so you won’t need to traverse roads or deal with traffic. You’ll ride Giant bicycles and be provided with helmets, which are renewed every year. As you move through the city on these traffic-free paths, you’ll have time to take in the scenery and listen to Robert’s stories. If you prefer powered assistance, ask about an e-bike upgrade.
