From Tadoussac or Baie-Sainte-Catherine in Charlevoix, you'll head out into waters around the Saguenay Fjord, an area recognised as one of the world’s best whale‑watching sites. On this boat or Zodiac excursion you may see up to 13 different whale species and encounter other marine mammals as your bilingual naturalist guides explain their behaviour, ecology and the local marine environment. You can choose a speedy Zodiac or a specially designed whale‑watching vessel with wide panoramic views for optimal observation. Throughout the outing, guides will provide insightful commentary in both languages while you take in the fjord’s steep, mountainous landscapes and open‑water panoramas from vessels configured for clear sightlines to marine life.

This experience will get you up close to majestic creatures as you go whale-watching on a zodiac boat. You'll look out for 13 different species of whale and other marine mammals over the course of 2.5 hours. Your captain will be an expert naturalist, and they'll share their knowledge about the local wildlife. If weather conditions permit, you'll end off by venturing into the spectacular Saguenay Fjord.

You will start your adventure with a whale-watching cruise in the Saguenay–St. Lawrence Marine Park. Guided by bilingual naturalists, you will explore up to 13 species of whales from either a panoramic boat or a Zodiac for a more immersive view. Expert guides will ensure a respectful, non-intrusive encounter with marine wildlife, and all vessels are Transport Canada certified. At the end of the day you will head to Ferme 5 Étoiles to observe black bears in their natural habitat and learn about conservation efforts to protect them. You will take a safe and unique black bear–watching outing led by an expert guide, and you will have the opportunity to explore a sanctuary that features rescued animals such as bison, deer, lynx, wolves and moose. Along the way you will learn about the region’s wildlife and the care given to these rescued species.

On this whale watching cruise you’ll discover these majestic creatures in their natural habitat, with panoramic views from your boat. You’ll board the AML’s Grand Fleuve boat and take off into the Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park, where you’ll be guided by the bilingual naturalist. You’ll be able to view these giants of the sea as they swim and breach.
