  • St Davids Comedy Walking Tour

    Pembrokeshire
You’ll join an original comedy walking tour of St Davids, guided by the “actual” St David. Set in Britain’s Smallest City, the tour weaves thousands of years of absurd mythology with questionable local history as you move through the town’s beautiful surroundings. Along the way you’ll hear heavily‑embellished, part‑biographical stories told in character by Wales’s patron saint. Expect tall tales about Vikings, monks and leeks, plus a stream of imaginative, very silly anecdotes that play with local legend rather than presenting strict history. The tone is comic and theatrical, so you may find facts mixed with playful invention. The experience is suitable for all and involves a moderate amount of walking. Dogs and children are very welcome, making this an accessible, light‑hearted option for families and mixed groups.

A boat trip around Ramsey Island will take you close to dramatic coastline and sheer cliffs that are visible only from the water. Along the way you’ll pass seals that may be basking on rocks or swimming nearby, and you’ll see seabirds performing aerobatics above the waves. You may also spot porpoises and dolphins in the area, though sightings cannot be guaranteed. The ride includes some high‑speed sprints on the water for a bit of excitement, balanced with quieter stretches for wildlife watching. The trip is also educational, with plenty to learn about Ramsey Island and its natural inhabitants as you travel around. It’s well suited to children and school groups, and the whole family can enjoy it—dogs are welcome to join too.

This guided kayak trip launches directly from Tenby Town, straight off Castle Beach in the heart of the harbour, so there are no minibus transfers or trailers. You’ll head out in small groups (maximum 12) in stable sit-on-top kayaks, with full kit provided. Complete beginners and families are genuinely welcome — most paddlers have never kayaked before. Local, qualified guides who have been exploring this coastline for years lead every trip and will choose the best route for the sea conditions on the day. As you move through the harbour and along Tenby’s coastline, you’ll take in coastal scenery and harbour views while staying with a licensed (AALA) activity provider. The operation is Tenby’s top-rated activity on Tripadvisor and has guided more than 30,000 adventurers since 2017.

This weekend wildlife trip in West Wales combines an offshore adventure to the Celtic Deep (around 30 miles offshore) with a day exploring Pembrokeshire’s nearshore habitats and islands. One day focuses on the rich waters of the Celtic Deep where the aim is to encounter blue sharks. Other species on the wish list include porbeagle sharks, ocean sunfish, minke and fin whales, common and bottlenose dolphins and bluefin tuna — all have been sighted on this route, though sightings cannot be guaranteed. On the other day you’ll explore Pembrokeshire’s islands and coastal habitats. Depending on the season, this may include snorkelling with wildlife, watching puffins and other seabirds, and seeing curious seals playing among kelp and seagrass. You may also travel out to Grassholm to see its colony of around 39,000 gannets; dolphins and, less frequently, whales and basking sharks have been seen on the Grassholm run. The two-day format lets the operator pick the best day for the offshore trip and use the other day for nearer-shore wildlife, giving the greatest chance of good sightings. Trips depend on the weather. If the main destination is not possible, you will be offered either a voucher for another trip or a refund.
