  • Kaga
On this tour in Kinosaki you will explore both the small hot spring town and the wider coastal landscape. You will hear the local legend of the hot spring and the history recovered after the earthquake. Along the way you’ll see a collection of Kinosaki’s traditional crafts assembled by Siebold and hear explanations about the San-in Coast Geopark and its notable topography. You will cycle along a mostly flat route beside the river toward the Sea of Japan. Along the way the tour passes the Ramsar Wetland, an internationally important wetland for waterfowl that is home to storks and designated as a natural monument. As you move through town and shore, you’ll get a sense of everyday life in a small onsen community and of the land and sea that shape the region. The course is almost flat, making it accessible and comfortable for women to join.
