You can choose between Aharen Beach, Aharen Beach with a snorkeling option, or Tokashiku Beach on Tokashiki Island. Your round-trip charter from Naha and a simple lunch are included, and local transportation on Tokashiki Island will be provided; there is no pick-up service in Naha. You will spend time on clear water and sandy shorelines, enjoying the island’s marine life from the beach or, if you opt for snorkeling, getting in the water to explore beneath the surface. Snorkelling is available for guests aged 6 to 59 and is subject to sea conditions. The experience is designed for people aged 0 to 59, but sightings of sea turtles are not guaranteed. The tour may still take place in rainy weather.

On this tour, you’ll explore the mangroves of the Hijya River while paddling in a kayak. You’ll arrive at the facility for your experience and fill in all the necessary forms before the tour begins. Then you’ll put on a life jacket and marine shoes and head to the field with your paddle. You’ll have a safety briefing on how to use the paddle, proceed, change directions and stop the kayak. Then you’ll begin your kayaking activity on the Hija River. You’ll have around an hour to explore the mangroves. You’ll get to see some creatures in the mangrove where the waters are shallow. Then you may also spot gobies and small crabs in the swamp. You’ll be accompanied by an expert guide who will share insights into the mangroves. After your kayaking activity is complete, you’ll have access to a changing room to freshen up before you leave.

This experience offers a relaxed introductory dive in the Kerama Islands, with two to three carefully selected sites visited each day. You will dive in various underwater locations around Zamami Island, Tokashiki Island, Kuroshima Island and Maejima Island, enjoying a comfortable, affordable and fun approach to the Okinawan sea. Along the way the guides will search for sea turtles, though sightings are not guaranteed. You do not need a licence to join — most guests are first-time divers — and the instructors will teach you gently, carefully and at an unhurried pace. If you cannot swim or feel nervous about water or heights, the team will work with you so you can still experience a peek beneath the surface. For a limited period between 12 January and March, whale-watching tours may also be offered, but these are subject to weather and sea conditions and may not run. The instructors’ stated mission is to share the charms of introductory diving in Okinawa while keeping the experience enjoyable and reassuring.

About an hour from Naha city in Okinawa, the Kerama Islands offer a day of diving and snorkelling guided by passionate staff who prioritise your safety. This half-day snorkelling trip takes you into the clear waters of Kerama National Park, close to the Keise Islands. You will swim among colourful coral reefs and tropical fish, and with a bit of luck may spot a sea turtle. The boat will anchor at a single chosen spot near the islands, and complimentary photos of your experience are included. Your captain will select the safest and most attractive snorkelling location based on sea conditions, but visibility and marine life may vary with tides and currents and cannot be guaranteed. You will snorkel from the boat only—there is no island landing—and life jackets are mandatory at all times. This is not a skin-diving tour. Boat type may change without notice, and the trip may operate in light rain. The excursion is suitable for beginners, families and friends, and departs from the area near Naha; it runs during the summer season only.

On this two-hour experience, you’ll have the chance to take a guided kayak tour on the Hija River in Okinawa. Led by an experienced guide, you’ll get to explore the mangroves and enjoy sweeping views of the sunset from your kayak. As you paddle along, you can take in the picturesque landscape and see some local fauna such as small crabs and gobies. During the kayak ride, you’ll also gain insights into the history of the river from your guide.

Snorkelling at Okinawa’s Blue Cave offers a guided, safe and friendly way to explore the island’s famous underwater scenery. You will snorkel under the guidance of multilingual instructors (English, Chinese and Japanese), including a veteran instructor originally from the Maldives with more than 20 years’ diving experience. The guide will help with your equipment, assist if you are not confident in the water, and take photos of you with sea creatures. Around 20 photos from the snorkel are provided on the spot, and an unlimited video option is available for an extra fee — please ask your guide on the day. You can join as a solo guest or as part of a small group (the tour runs for up to eight people). A free fish-feeding experience brings lots of colourful fish close to you. Note that access to the Blue Cave depends on sea conditions; if swimming in the cave is prohibited, the guide may take you to the nearby beach instead. Rain alone is not usually a problem, but activities will be adjusted according to waves and wind.

This experience in Kadena Town, Okinawa Prefecture combines a gentle kayak trip through mangrove-lined rivers with an opportunity to fish in the nearby sea. As you move through the dense mangroves, you will see small creatures such as crabs and gobies living among the roots. Along the way, you will hear about Kadena’s local history and the legends tied to the trees, including stories of fairies said to dwell there. You will also go fishing in the waters around Okinawa, where the fish are known for their colourful, attractive appearance. If the fish you catch is edible, the provider can guide you to a local restaurant for preparation and a meal; any food at the restaurant must be paid for separately. The experience is focused on observing wildlife, enjoying the natural scenery and learning about the area’s cultural tales while trying your hand at fishing.

This calm kayak experience on the Hijagawa River will bring you close to mangroves and the small creatures that live among them. You will glide through gentle water where children from about two years old can take part, so the whole family — from youngsters to the elderly — can enjoy nature at close range. Along the way, you will see small crabs and gobies, and pass plants that are said to give you power, all in a peaceful riverside setting in Kadena Town. A friendly guide will give a thorough lecture on how to hold the paddle, how to operate the kayak and tips for a smooth trip. The guide will also explain how to get on and off safely and answer anything you don’t understand. All necessary equipment is available to rent free of charge, including life jackets, sandals, towels, hats, waterproof cases and rain gear, so you can join as long as you wear clothes you don’t mind getting wet. The meeting point is in Kadena Town, which is about 45 minutes by car from Naha and roughly 25 minutes from the Onna village area, right off National Route 58 for easy access.
